Does and enlarged heart develop because of high blood pressure, and weak stroke volume? If not help me understand

I have been on stimulants for a few weeks and I believe I developed an enlarged heart ,which scares me. Might have exacerbated to problems from poor posture on the computer along with the stong stoke volumes attributable sometimes with aderrall. I dont know if slouching puts more pressure on the heart mabey some one can explain.

Before the problems started I was able to:
Have a low heart rate along with weak stroke volume and 70/90’s-100 pressure while resting.
Now:
Sometime when I am resting and do not have strong heart contractions my body retains fluids along with my lungs no matter what my blood pressure is. I experienced congested heart failure symptoms once when my lower extremities filled with blood, this was also after taking an alpha blocker.

Honestly if I had any kind of reactions or 'warning signs' dealing with my heart I would stop taking Adderall. I know that's kind of harsh if it really helps you but if it could lead to a higher death rate it's not really worth it. There's always alternatives to try.

Its prob the increased heart rate along with the constriction of the blood vessels that are leading to the enlargement, because if blood pressure wasnt high and the heart rate was elevated then i can assume there would be no problem.

I think the problem has been exacerbated because i sit slouched in my char at my computer which prob put more pressure on the heart when im on adderral.

It makes sense because adderral is making it seem as if i was overweight with high blood pressure when i have never been overweight. I just hope when i make the adjustments the heart will shrink, cause if overweight people can loose 100's of pounds then i would assume their heart would have to shrink also?

If anyone has any other thoughts except "go see your doctor" then post them if you like.

If you're suffering from fluid retention in your lower extremities and the buildup coincides with the taking of stimulants, it's quite possible that they are contributing to the problem. Vasoconstrictors naturally put more strain on your heart because it has to pump harder to get the blood through narrower pathways. If your heart cannot cope with the extra workload, you are going to start retaining fluid.

I know you don't want to hear this again, but anytime you retain fluid in your lower extremities, it's a huge red flag to call your doctor. No one on this board is going to be irresponsible enough to say "don't call your doc....it'll be just fine"......especially with a history of congestive heart failure.

Good luck....
