I had forgotten just how seriously good this medication is. The problem is that a months supply of Adderall XR 45mg costs £525.00. It could be cheaper for me to get it from The States (perhaps?)
I suspect that it's impossible. I'm not a US citizen, but I have to explore all of the possibilities because when I take Adderall I feel like a normal, confident, happy and sociable human being.
The cost of the drugs together with my consultations rings my ADHD management bill up at roughly £750.00 per month. And that's without any talking therapy.
How do you guys from the US get your meds?

Why would that be impossible? You need to get an appointment with the US psychiatrist in order to get a U.S. prescription, and then you can fill it at any US pharmacy. You don't need to be a citizen. Of course it will be costly, and there is little chance you will get Adderall prescription on your first office visit. Most psychiatrists will try to put you on all kinds of SSRIs, or anti anxiety drugs - all the stuff you likely had before. You may need to visit multiple places to get that prescription, all with hefty costs attached.
I am also at a similar situation, as my prescription ran out, and the drug is not even licensed where I live.

Hi had same problem, Adderall XR at about £7/$10 pill! Since it is such a controlled substance I don't see a solution. You might be able to get a UK month's prescription fulfilled in the US but the flight would mitigate any savings. You might get a US doctor to diagnose, then prescribe but they would probably only give you a months prescription too.
The issue is that Shire Pharmaceutical is a UK company but manufactures Adderall in the US and with low volume in the UK the regulatory requirements importing to the UK are huge. I asked Shire to help but no joy from their UK Chief Medical Officer. It is going generic at the moment but price hasn't come down much and still have the same issue. I doubt very much it will ever be licenced in the UK either since Shire are now focussing on Vyvance.
Bad news I'm afraid...
You can get RT airfare for under 300 GBP, so would only be worth it for generics (as low as $50 with no insurance).
