After being diagnosed with combined type the doc tried methylin, had bad teeth clinching, then 36mg concerta and works great for hyperactivity but not attention, or daydreaming stuff like that. Doc put me on 30mg adderall xr. It helps with attention a little but is not good for hyper, I think I tape my feet more actually. Plus it only last for 4 -6 hrs and horrible ups and downs, and deppression at night like no other. So is there a drug that is around for my situation? like maybe a methylphenidate + dex style drug? Any suggestions and feedback are appreciated.

Sorry no answers for you there, but I was just wondering the same thing too.

I have ADHD combined, and tried Ritalin & Concerta. Whilst they had their benefits, the Ritalin had a very mild effect on my focus and distractability, and the worst thing was the horrible depression. Concerta was smoother, less impulsivity and hyperness but virtually no effect on my internal dialogues, focus or distractability.

Don't have access to Adderall in Australia, so was thinking of taking up psychiatrist's offer of trying dextroamphetamines instead, or together.

Keep us posted! :)
