Hello Everyone,

I just got prescribed time released adderall today for dealing with my ADD. This is my first time taking a prescription med for this life long struggle I've had with ADD. So far I'm doing great!( Or atleast think I am!:) ) I've been experiencing the following:

Having a MUCH easier time staying focused on whatever I'm doing.
Feeling the urge to be organized and put my life in order.
I kinda "feel" smarter. ( And I know meds don't make you smarter. I guess I mean I feel like I'm able to "follow more closely" whats going on. Thus I feel smart lol. )
Even writing this post seemed like a breeze for me.
Just feeling genuinely good all around.
So my questions are. Is this something I can expect on a daily basis with taking the prescribed amount? ( Its 20mg once daily. ) Is the fact that I'm feeling genuinely happy an effect that comes with adderall? (Or maybe I'm just happy that its working. lol) In your guys experience with adderall what are the things I should watch out for? This is my very first experience with a stimulate prescribed drug so I want to make sure I play it safe.:) Your input is greatly appreciated.

it will eventually go away as your body adjusts to the medication...although you should retain the focusing/organizational abilities...the good around (euphoria) feeling certainly doesnt last more than a few days, so dont be dissapointed if it doesnt "feel" the same as when you started

Oh thx. Thats good to know. I'm still feeling great so far, but i'm very happy that I can focus and get things done. This all around happiness is just an added bonus. lol

My son takes Adderall XR... I can tell you that getting enough sleep is crucial to stay on track. Also, after awhile it may be hard to fall asleep..some exercise should help that. These pieces seem to work for my son, but everyone is different.

Happy to hear your experience is positive!
