Hello All.

I done a search but could not find the specific information.
Sorry if this has been asked before

I just started concerta 36mg not long ago, concerta works well for 8-12 hours, but over the last few days at a certain time, usually around 8-10 hours after taking it I start to feel dizzy, less focused, etc. and my head goes fuzzy (or back to my old self probably). I know this is one of the possible side effects, does this wear off, any tips to avoid this?. I guess an IR dose of ritalin would do it, but not sure if doc will give that.

Is this normal, and just the concerta starting to wear off after 8-12hours?.

Also if I could ask, when you increase your dosage, does it normally last longer, for example, would 56mg last 12 hours where 36mg might last 9?.

Its helping me a lot, only problem is i really need a 16 hour day, when the concerta wears off after 8-12 h i usually end up sleeping

Thanks :).

Stopped feeling dizzy after first few days.

Now bit of depression, is it normal to get a variety of different side effects for the first few weeks? :).

and does anyone have any idea if higher concerta doses last longer on average or the same as lower doses (say 36mg vs 56mg)

Thanks.

When I first started Concerta or when I have raised the dosage, I have experienced depression. I believe this is a well known side effect. It seems to get better after a week or two though.

I seem to get different side effect every few days lol:).

first few days dizzy, then depression, now being tired. guess it takes a few weeks for your body to get used to a new medication.

Will probably lose some side effects in next few days.

Thank you.
