So there I was ... (all the best stories start out that way don't they?)

I was in the docs office (new doc my former one retired due to age and medical issues.) and I told him that 50mg of vyvanse was wholely ineffective... so he says to me ... up the dosage of course... so off to 70mg I go ... focus.. good... emotions were 0 nothing goose egg nada... you could have shot my kids in front of me and it would have been like ... ok, so what ... until about 8pm when raindrops were a thing of beauty to be cried over (35 yo men do not cry about rain) so the doc and I had another discussion about my meds... Strattera he says to me, ok I says to him... for a week (or was that weak?) OMG! you could have knocked me over with a feather I was sooooo sleepy.

Well after nearly killing myself driving (falling asleep behind the wheel is NOT a recommended activity for those that wish to continue to consume oxygen) I went to my pdoc and told him I could not continue with the strattera...

So then he says to me how about wellbutrin with vyvanse? So he cut my dosage to 30mg added 150 wellbutrin for the first week... So far everything is good... now I am supposed to go with just Wellbutrin starting tomorrow morning, but if I notice it is not as effective as the combo he is OK with continuing Vy and wellbutrin.

I will let everyone know how it is working as soon as I can.

For the last year I have been on 30mg Vyvanse and 300 Wellbutrin. The combo works much better for me than just one or the other.
They compliment each other. Wellb seems to extend the effectiveness AND time of the Vyv. THe Wellb also helps reduce the effect of the crash at the end of the day.
Talk to your doc, it is a fairly common strategy.

I have taken Wellbutin in the past and quit, for no apparent reason other than the pdoc wanted to try a different cocktail. I changed from Kaiser to Blue Cross and got a new pdoc and he deemed me with adult ADD and put me on Vyvanse. Intially @ 30mg and then up to 60mg, one in the morning and one at 1pm to help with the crash. The most troubling side effect for me (and be a guy is the most difficult) is loss of erection! I have an increased libido and want to have sex all the time but it takes a lot of stimulation to get hard and then it is not as before. Erectile dysfunction is very difficult to accept, especially when I would get a hard on at will and was hard as Titanium. Also would even last after orgasm, although my wife would kick me out when I wanted an encore. My question for all of you guys, is does this subside eventually? I am not worried about getting any bigger as I am a porn star already. But I guess bigger is better. Most people say a dog is a mans best friend, which is not always true, it is his penis. It is always with you, wakes you up in the morning with a smile, makes you feel awesome and you never have to say I Love YOu!

How long ago did you stop the Wellb??? I lost about 20% function for about 4 months AFTER quitting Wellb. It was not the stims at all. All was well after that. A few years later I went back on Wellb generic because the price went way down. Now I am on both buproprion and Vyv.
