How long does Wellbutrin take to kick in for ADHD?

I was taking it for a few weeks before I really started to feel it more.

When I took Wellbutrin I was sure I felt the initial babykicks already after 8-10 days.
Some might say that's impossible, but hey...that's my experience. :)

I think it says 2-4 weeks in the package, though...?

I usually give new meds 8 weeks (tops) before I decide whether or not to discontinue. LOL, sounds like I pop meds as if they were M&M, hehe...I really don't, though. It's just that after more than ten years of morbid cerebral flatulence syndrome aka severe brain farting disorder (:D) you're bound to have been through a 'nice' number of med trials - especially when, as is the case with me, the person presenting with the loonifications doesn't respond well (if at all) to meds in general. ;)

That being said, I've been thinking about trying out a low dose of Wellbutrin along with my ADHD meds at some point in the future, as it did have some promising almost-effect on me when I tried it first time around.

Low dose Wellb generic with Vyv works for me. I take 75MG Wellb morning and evening. 20 mg Vyv in AM and 10 mg around 5 pm. Killed off thecrash and Wellb has an energizing effect for me. More Wellb causes me memory issues.
Good luck....
PS: It "kicked in" after about 10 days.

Sometimes it's like that, Iggy, don't lose your courage because of it.:)
All meds that are supposed to treat the exact same symptoms (and even in the same way, sometimes) don't work equally well for all people.
E.g., I've tried a whole list of SSRIs, some of them highly recommended by aquaintances who had had symptoms very similar to my own, and none of them worked at all, I might as well have taken calcium tablets.
Until I found out about bupropion (Wellbutrin, Zyban) NOTHING had worked for me at all. Low dose Wellbutrin aaaalmost helped...I upped the dose with high hopes and learned that that was eeerrhmm...not for me. ;)
This was prior to me learning about my own ADHD - I thought that was the end for me, that I had tried it all, and nothing would help me.

Ta-daaa...Enter ADHD -> Enter Ritalin. :)
I am still pretty damn far from 'well functioning' - hence me toying with the idea of a Wellbutrin/Ritalin combo - but ADHD meds are the first meds that has ever actually made a significant positive impact on my day-to-day life. It was quite a relief for me to get to the point where profound changes finally come and the rest is just "tweaking". :)

Hope you've found something other than Wellbutrin, that helps you better now. :)

I tried out 150mg of SR twice a day (one at 8am and one at 2pm) before I started seeing a pysc doctor and I noticed the effect by the second day... I knew exactly when it kicked in and exactly when it wore off. I was taking ginkgo and ginseng at the time I tried it out, but I was getting some bad headaches. When I cut the ginkgo in half the headaches went away.

The doctor put me on 150mg XL twice a day (8am and 10pm) and I'm not really noticing as much of an effect. No ginkgo or ginseng. I've been travelling a lot since I've started it a few weeks ago so, I can't really say how effective it is.

I was on Wellbutrin XL for about a month, 150 mg once a day. It had no measurable effect on me at all, except it did act like a cup of coffee in the morning. I was going to go to a higher dosage, but the new psychiatrist I'm dealing with wants me to try Adderall. So Adderall is my next stop.
