Hi all,
I'm a junior at a state university. I've been a procrastinator as long as I can remember, and recently I've begun to wonder how I can go about changing this. It's really hit a crescendo lately, as I'm taking organic chemistry and I've been putting off studying until the night before an exam, leading unsurprisingly to my current F heading into the final. I've really done this as far back as I can remember, through high school and middle school. I fared pretty well in high school regardless of that, becoming a National Merit Scholar, but I'm struggling in college. Though I have a 3.0, I've struggled mightily in classes that require any significant amount of homework or appreciable amount of studying. I feel kind of lame even considering it, it seems like more of grasping at an excuse than anything, but I'm thinking it's at least possible that I have some form of ADHD. Would anyone suggest I visit my school's health center? At this point I feel like I'd be wasting the doctor's time.
