I've been on 18mg of Concerta for 2 days and will be increasing to the 36 next week. My eating habits already suck because I don't get hunger pains and often go hours if not days without eating and not realize it (until I get faint or something of the like). Since starting Concerta, I've been having a normal breakfast with it and find myself hungry within hours, and it's painful! Is this normal? I heard that it was supposed to suppress my appitite (not that I want it too, but still, I've never been miserably hungry before).

I'm a very Hyperactive-impulsive ADHDer and have deffinately noticed that I've been knocked down a noch, but I'm also feel riddiculously zombish and tired. My heart is racing, but still it feels like I'm moving slow and all I want to do is curl up on the couch and pass out. Is this normal? And will it change when I bump up to the higher dose?

I can totally relate to the sluggish almost zombie like state on the 18mgs. I remember going for a drive on my first day and feeling a lot less alert/focused, kinda scary. In my case though, as soon as I upped it to 36, that feeling totally went away.

Can't help you with your appetite problems though, my eating habits have pretty much stayed the same.

I'd say give it at least a few more days before you throw in the towel.
