I'm on 40mg for the first week and then up to 80 next week.

Took my first one today and noticed it after a short while. I have had changes today - pressure around the head, fairly restless, concentration improved, impulsiveness more under control.

I went out tonight and was actually able to socialize properly for the first time in....eh forever maybe!

I'm not too confident - I find it strange that I've had such a positive response so quickly and imagine that it might wear off for a while and then take the "normal" I think 3 to 4 weeks to start working properly - just a thought - I'm not a doctor. I'd be interested in a challenge to my theory - might force me to think about it more because I'm not that motivated to do much research.

I have some side effects - the biggest one is right now - I cannot sleep at all. I was drinking tonight - I drank a good bit of tonic wine which has caffeine in it - only rememered a short while ago that there's cafffeine in it. May very well be the prime suspect for my sleeping issue.

Anyway that's it - I'm bored bored bored and I just thought I would post this up even though I feel the only answer to my issue is put up with it for a few days and hopefully it will go away and if not ring your doctor.

Bye. Just to add other side effects include a real lack of motivation probably due to feeling letargic and tired all day, going to the toilet a lot and constantly hungry. The hungry thing is a strange one I think. Once I start eating then I don't feel like it at all so it must be just that I'm not filling myself up enough actually.

Hi,
Do not be suprised if you needto stay at 40 for a few more weeks. In about 3 days you will know what I mean.
Good luck ...Ken Many docs start with 20mg.

Ok I slept last night - was abit difficult falling to sleep but when I did I slept till this morning. I woke earlier than my alarm clock and feel quite good now today tiredness wise. ie. I'm not that tired.

This strattera is great. I hyperfocused twice today and when you do you really really feel the medication work. It actually gave me a buzz in my head. I still feel really compelled to find things in life that are really interesting to me - I just feel drawn to give my brain the stimulation it needs. I'm more clear so I know what I want better in life now. Before I was depressed and I didn't know whether I was coming or going.

The boring things in life are still quite boring and make me yawn but I can do them and pay attention to detail which is nice.
