I know this issue has been discussed a lot here but I cant seem to find any real answers. This is my situation. I train jiu jitsu for about 2 1/2 years I was getting into sort of a slump this summer. I am going to back to school and my doc put me back on concerta 54mg for school. at first it felt like I immediatley had a unfair advantage at the gym against other people. going longer, feeling stronger, etc. now several months later it feels like im gassing out earlier and feeling a lot more out of breath? Is it that im not having a good enough diet for how much i train ( not enough water etc.. protien...not enough food ( I have a hard time not knowing how much to eat because im never hungry but i force it anyways ) And the lack of apetite always messes me up because i wake up in the middle of the night with a uncontrollable urge to eat.

Can anyone help me Jiu jitsu is VERY important to me and i dont want to stop taking concerta !!! It does wonders for me as far as school goes

Thank you for your time in advance. Im sorry for the very Poorley put together questions.

I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes, not being able to get back to sleep until after I've eaten something. I take that as a sign that I didn't eat enough calories in the day. You might try calorie counting (http://weightloss.about.com/od/eatsmart/a/blcalintake.htm), although it was allways too much hastle for me to read how many calories were in my foods.

You might be losing sleep too, which would hurt your performance. I take breaks from pills every once in a while to let that part of me catch up.
