There's an article about it in the hardcopy edition of Psychology Today , on p. 56, called "Sweating Makes You Smart". (I don't have a URL - I'm sorry)
So if we all work out regularly we'll have yet another edge on the normies who don't.
Hee. :D
I've become a huge fan of the merrits of working out. I'm not very structured about it. I just require a good sweat on for a half hour of so four or five days a week.
I started in the middle of February and haven't let up so far. I think it has far reaching implications for those interested in a wholistic type of approach.
Cheers! Ian.

I get that magazine but its at my parents house mayne it has a site listed in it somewhere if it does i will post it tomorrow. There is at least one small article a month in there about ADD/ADHD too I recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it before. It also gives good tips on other things as well from anxiety to depression and so on!;)

I still workout an avg of 4 times a week at the gym and at least once or twice at home on Nordic track. Great stress releif from work and also great for sensory problems.Hang in there and keep going.
Brianne thanks for the nod on the mag. Maybe you could keep us posted on the stuff you think might help?
I know I'd like to hear from you. I have too many things to read and are sitting unread to take on another. But with you as a filter many can get the bonus if you are reading it already and don't mind posting here.
mctavish23 those types of work outs would kill me. < g > I am so much happier taking my work load where I can find it.. Like wrestling with my grappler 14 year old daughter. Sheeesh.. she's getting strong.. heh She's always been one to shinny up a tree or find some demanding way to use her body. I am glad you find the same benefits though. It's a good thing for me of that there remains no doubt.
But today it was cleaning out the barn for a work out. Six hours.. I might have to have a day or two of light work to follow up.. hehe
Cheers! Ian.

I have made one post from the mag. I just strated getting it so I only have a few issues. The only thing I don't like about it is that it hardly ever referrs t adult ADD mainly just childern. But I have written them sugesting they do more articlas on adult ADD......don't know if they will actully try it but maybe if enough request it they would.
Your Welcome Ian! I will post when I feel there is an article on things we may have not thought of in here even on the non-add stuff.................I like their articles on help get past negative voices and stress or anger etc . I will try to post as offten as I can though I am a t a very busy stage in my life planning a wedding right now..............but when I have time I'd be glad too.;)
Do what you can Brianne. Anything you have time for will be appreciated.
Congratulations on the pending wedding. It's often an exciting time. Wishing you well.
Cheers! Ian.
McTavish, you are inspiration to those of us who can only get with it sporadically. (Just 'cuz I READ the article doesn't mean I always DO the exercises! But I did remember that today is a workout day.)
Ian, I agree with what you said about the wholistic approach. (Holistic?) Dr. Amen actually recommends it as part of his prescription for AD/HD treatment.
Bri - you ROCK. I will attempt to keep the low-techs among us posted as well - THANK you for the link. (When you found the time to find it w/all you have to do in the "getting married" dept, I don't know...)
