Many times I get down on myself for feeling so chaotic, indecisive, unmotivated, chronically late, undisciplined, lacking in routine or consistency.
I know I should look to the positive sides of my personality, like my creativeness, inquisitiveness, compassion, courage, and explorative nature. Others may think my obsessions, my need to dig deeper & think outside the box, my eccentricities, impulsivity, discontentment, my willingness to share vulnerabilities to get insight, and my relentless tortured soul that makes my head spin in questioning my purpose on this earth,....so others probably see me as mentally disturbed. I think I am a bit disturbed, but I also think that these qualities, which some or most ADD'ers share in common, are just not appreciated in our society. They are seen as personality traits that will get a person no where in life. In our industrialist, money/power hungry, success-driven, toxic, synthetic, image focused, judgemental society. So we are made to feel like outcasts, labeled with a disorder, put on meds, and all the while, they ('the man'/"the machine")are trying to justify their insane ideas by using the system & the media to brainwash the next generation to become more insecure, paranoid, sickly, pill-dependant, debt controlled, robotic conforming ants, than the last.(generation)...sorry,I'm the queen of run-on sentences.
What if we, and there are many of us, unite, take a stand, make our own rules...our own society. Hmmm, it wouldn't be boring, thats for sure, but I'm actually frightening myself trying to think how it could work.
Anyone in a rambling mood, want to take a stab at how we Add'ers could possibly make our own society, or what it would look like.
