It's so expensive without my old job's health benefits. I am on California disability and I have to fill my prescription to keep it going. Ralph's pharmacy wanted $250 and Target wanted $150. I used to pay $10 on my co-pay.

Anyone have any success in getting it much cheaper? I am in Los Angeles.

Is this for brand name XR????? If so that would explain it. I just recently filled my generic IR prescription (found a pharmacy that had the Sandoz brand), my co-pay was $10 but the pharmacy listed the non-insurance price on the receipt, which was $34.11 for 90x 20mg Aderall IR pills. Personally, I would try looking at mom-and-pop pharmacies. I have heard from a lot of people, they tend to be cheaper.

There's Costco in LA, right? 90-20mg are about $35 there. I'm pretty sure that you don't need to be a member to use the pharmacy, but even if you do, then it's worth the $50 membership.

If this for Adderall XR, I do have one coupon that I got from my therapist. brand name Adderall XR. I use IR only. Be happy to mail to you.

generic XR prices should be dropping quickly now that IMPAX labs has started shipping their XR product. Anyways, as mentioned above check out your local Costco for cheap IR tablets. You don't need to be a member of Costco to use their pharmacy.

Is this coupon expired by any chance? I have tried to locate coupons for the Adderall XR and could not find any current ones offered. Where do you think this came from?

Regarding Costco - with new Adderall IR script in hand on Wed I called to get prices. $31.40 for 60q 10 mg. Perfect, right? West side pharmacy didn't have them in stock, so I called the one down south.

Since it was a schedule II controlled substance and I'd never filled it there before, they couldn't tell me if it was in stock. If it wasn't, I'd have to wait 3 days for them to get it in stock (Wait a minute! If the first place willingly told me it wasn't in stock, but the second one told me they couldn't tell me if it was in stock, does that mean it was in stock?)

Just be aware that you may have to wait a few days to get a good price like that - for me it wasn't an option and I didn't have an hour to drive all the way down there and back potentially empty-handed.

FYI, their generic Wellbutrin (mfg: Global) is reasonable too - got 180q 200 mg for $85ish - cheapest I could find in North America.

Good luck!

Can somebody explain me this:

Generic Adderall XR (25mg one a day) one year for my insurance:
My total annual cost: $202.78, my employer's cost: $1473.73 Grant total of $1675.51
Brand adderall XR:
My total annual cost: $405.56, my employer's cost: $1313.51 Grant total of $1719.07

For a total difference of $43 annually. Shouldn't the generic be a whole lot cheaper??

That was the agreement between the brand manufacturer (Shire) and the generic company (Teva). Patent on Adderall XR was suppose to expire 2018 but Teva challenged the patent and filed with the FDA to start manufacturing Generic Adderall XR. Shire sued but after 100 of millions of dollars spent in courts. Both agreed for Teva to start selling the generic and buy Brand Adderall IR thru Barr (Which is owned by Teva).
They agreed also for Teva not to drop the price of the generic way down so it would not hurt brand XR. They agreed also for Shire to manufacturer the generic Adderall XR for Teva.
So bottom line Shire manufactures Adderall XR and generic.
Teva manufacturer Adderall IR brand thru duramed pharmaceuticals (explains the imprint dp)
And the generic thru barr.

But expect price of adderall XR generic to drop because another company will start manufacturing generic Adderall XR (IMPAX)
But the price will not drop too much because Teva and Impax have price agreements on my other generic drugs.

Yes, it's for Adderall XR 25mg. My psychiatrist assured me that Costco is reasonable and does NOT require membership. Gonna try that I think. Thanks to all for responses! Turns out I just have to visit the doctor regularly -the EDD doesnt get into what meds I take or dont take so the sense of urgency is not there like I thought it was. *whew* I am still going to get the meds to take when I need them.

Wow! Generic here in Oregon was 170 at Rite Aid and 178 at Bi-Mart. Should have asked for the real deal if it doesn't cost that much more.
