The Montel Williams Show is going to being doing a show about AD/HD on Tuesday April 15, 2003.
I don't know the details of the show but I know one of his guests is going to be Mary Ann Block of the Block Center http://www.blockcenter.com She is an anti-meds person.
As of right now there no info on Montel's site about the show (or none I can find). It will be very interesting to see if this is going to be an anti-meds show or if Montel will try to show a more Balanced View of AD/HD.
Montel is a syndicated show so times and stations vary from place to place. Here's a link to find out when and where it will be on

He had done one a year or so ago...so it may be a repeat.
The Title of the show is A PARENT'S RIGHT TO CHOOSE
It's look like it will be an interesting show. Here's a link for more info http://montelshow.com/show/upcoming_detail.htm?index=1
Did anybod else happen to catch the show?
Many people one other AD/HD related forums are steaming over it.
There were things that I did not agree with on the show and it was pretty much one sided "anti-meds". I do the think the basic messages it gave was that we as ADDults and parents of ADDers need to be able to make our own choices when it comes to medication. We MUST make sure the people treating us actually know enough about AD/HD and any medication they prescribe to us. We must also fully research and medication (or anything else we put into our bodies) before taking it. DR's are NOT God.
Hi Tara,
I actually missed the show. I was at school at that time teaching poetry to 5th graders. They learned about limmericks last Tuesday. They are very bright students and are learning quickly. I am happy with their progress so far. :)
Tara,
I missed it, but not intentionaly...I fell asleep about 15 minutes into it. And then woke up about the last 20 minutes of it. So I missed some of it. I hate it when I do that. But what I did catch of it..I was a little P.O'd on some of the peoples comments.
I can understand people having different view points about ADD and medication. I just wish he has show more than one view point.

Ummmmm. Have you not seen the show before? Unless you're watching something on a learning-type channel, I wouldn't expect too much good info mixed in with the entertainment. Their main thrust is to be interesting, and to do that they have to have an angle. Didn't catch the show myself, but I can easily imagine how it went.
Actually I like the Montel Show

I did not bother with the show since I know Montel's style . I could of told you it would be one sided , and even go so far as to attack ( not physically ) a pro med guest. making them appear to be "bad" The show would not be about ADD but about the idea that Dr's are over perscribing meds to all America's kids.
If you didn't even see the show I don't understand how you can comment on it.
