Refrigerated peel and bake cookie dough. :D

The thoughts of deciding on a recipe, making a list, going shopping, making time to do it, cleaning up the mess, etc. had me thinking "screw a bunch of holiday baking". But this cookie dough saved the (holi)day. Chocolate peppermint and gingerbread spice.

I went shopping for festive cookie tins at the thrift stores and hit the jackpot there, too.

I love it when it all falls into place. (knock on wood)

LOL - that's the beauty of it :) - there is no recipe!!

Open package, peel pre-cut cookie dough off of wax paper, place on cookie sheet, bake 10-14 minutes, and ta-da!!!!! :D

For my friends, the real ones, the ones that looks through the ****ty parts of me and see my pain and cry with me, who see my heart and love with me. Im grateful for my intuition and perservirance. Im grateful for honest people who are straight up with me and with the rest of the world. Im grateful for people who can admit they are wrong and who fix things they have damaged. I want to be more like that.

My husband, who is very good to me even though he finds it hard to deal with me during my bad days.

Having shelter, food, water, clothing, and heat. Feeling sad for people and animals who have to be out in this cold. It's going to be 13 degrees in VA tonight.

I found the earring I thought I had lost! I was wearing a turtleneck, and then a turtleneck sweater ,and it was between the 2 collars the whole time.

we are having horrible, awful, disgusting rainy, windy weather but I heard this music I absolutely love - chorus of Nabucco, (Verdi I think) that we played way back in May. It's been in my head all morning!

I'm grateful that my husband came home 4 hours after he left for his works Christmasparty. The only thing was that he came home so drunk he couldn't put the key in the door, so when I opened it for him his first reaction was "I'm so wasted!". I'm so impressed!!! not! But at least he came home insted of staying with the other drunk co-workers.

I'm also very grateful that the kids are not home, so they can't see him like this. He went straight to bed at 10pm. I hope he sleeps it of cause we are going groceryshopping to Sweden tomorrow.

I’m grateful that when I feel something isn’t working that he’s willing to scrap it and try my next new idea of what might work better.

I’m also very grateful that he is willing to hear the phrase “You’re raising your voice” and to change his tone.

I guess really, I'm just very grateful for the relationship that we have. :)

He is an example. I wish more people were like him. Especially not making you feel guilty is a quality and self control many don't share. Make sure to reward him for his patience. I heard lately I can be pretty unreasonable myself, yet I'm still accepted. But I will improve !

For the approval and opening of the warm shelter in a neighboring city that has currently has none. It will provide 20 homeless people with shelter, food, and support through the winter months. :)

It's sponsored and being done at a church. Look around at how many churches are in most cities and counties, etc. and imagine if they all agreed to help in this way. Or at least half of them.

In upstate New York we've also had above normal temps. with almost no snow.The ski slopes & snowmobile trails aren't being used therefore no money is being made, so it's a big deal around here.

My fellow staff members at a forum I moderate on. When I told them what I was going through all of them were so kind, compassionate and empathetic, and three in particular took the time in their busy day write me, Skype and call me to share their own ADHD experience and give me a lot of resources.

The realization that remaining in my current place of employment is only going to continue to affect my health in a negative way.

While it's scary as he!! to think of what I'll do next, it's also refreshing to have finally reached the point of wanting to make it happen instead of just talking about it.

Hoping my creativity and common sense will serve me well in coming up with a plan and ideas to generate income.

I feel I could be much more effective coming back here as a volunteer to do cool stuff with the students than to continue to try to navigate the political BS that smothers me daily.

how life allways surprice me.

Yesterday I had the chance to clean up my garden and repot some plants. After, while my wife and daughter were taking a nap I sat on the patio in the sun and read a book and drank a beer... It was a nice afternoon.

Yesterday my friend took me out and I got to participate in pool/biliard tournament.It was very fun but I dont remember the result :s

For being able to sit outside with a cup of coffee this morning for the first time this year.The temps are in the 60s & I'm so grateful for the nice weather.

Lol everyone is going to think I'm nuts if they don't already..
My brain is going full force right now overly stimulated and I really wish I could channel this in a positive direction but whatever I'm just grateful for this very moment <3

Unconditional Love

I finally heard the first blackbird of the year yesterday.Me and my friend climbed up å hill/mountain and got a beautiful wiew of the city.My friend bought me my favorite towel.

We skied sunday for the first time in two years (well, in my case at least). Thank god I took my pills again, I started of a great winter sport season in march ! Red and black pistes !

Waking up to a beautiful, sunny day, listening to the birds singing, getting ready to go visit mom and take her a late lunch. Gonna stop and pick up my other mom on the way. Feeling full of love today and lovin' it. :D I wish I knew how to send this feeling to each and every one of you. (((((Hugs))))))

I'm grateful for seeing my dog again. My ex kept her and I'm housesitting till sunday. She was so happy to see me, we rolled on the floor for a few minutes playing around. Dogs show emotion without restraint just like adhd"ers

Waking up on time for work!!
I've been min 1 hour late for 4 days in the past 2 weeks and I felt terrible about it and I got into trouble.
Had to not take my last 2 doses of meds yesterday afternoon to ensure I actually woke up this morning.. It was still an effort, but I did it!

Also loving my strawberry net order coming in just 4 days, freshly dyed red hair and it's silly smooth! :)

The financial aid letter my stepdaughter received from her top pick college offering to pay 3/4 of her first year's tuition!!!!!!! We both almost passed out when we read it. lol I had to go back and make sure the decimal point was in the right place. lol Wow.

Through a program at my college, I mentor a young man with autism. I was unable to go home for Easter, so yesterday his family invited me to their Easter brunch. I am so grateful to have found such a nice family-away-from-home, who I know are grateful for what I do for them (which to me seems like almost nothing), and who would be willing to do anything for me if I ever needed help.

Somehow I keep managing to remember due dates as a week before the actual due date. So, I was working frantically last night thinking I had a paper due tomorrow, but I just found out that it really isnt due until next Tuesday!!!! Yeah! Happy birthday to me!

People who take responsibility for the energy they bring to a place and willingly recognize how strongly and negatively it can affect others. And once that realization sets in, they make genuine efforts to improve instead of choosing to purposely continue to be negative and hurtful.

I've succeeded all of the interviews, so it's nice to feel appreciated and knowing to have a good start in life with potential, especially because I really tried, put blood, sweat and tears (literally obviously=)) into it. Nice to see effort resulting in... results :)
I was told having an impressive CV for my age (so she suggested putting my age on it for the right reasons) - I of course did not give her the details (as to how long my time perseverance for each job was ^^ - and that I was very mature and having good sense of humour.

So.... all full for the month of juin, and still some cases open... Seems like I'm going to have to choose =) .

Yeah sorry for not being modest - but I have been missing 5 studies and wayy more than that, plus I'm on medication with constipation with practically only one friend, therapy and asides pocket money from parents no income or incredible hard times getting a partial job. I justify this because it really isn't my style to sell my success, but for once I make an exception.

Besides, recently my self esteem has been dropping below sea level... I was starting to get cold... I needed to warm up and breath to feel alive again. I'm melting as we speak !

I know though to succeed life... I have not even passed the doormat yet. Talk about self motivation =P

There is this slow alarm system that, during an entire hour, slowly imitates the sun by intensifying light and imitating the distant, approaching and lovely loudening sound of singing birds in the morning.

Although I might personally prefer the annoying loud bashing radio which I can respond with my very satisfying hobby of throwing the damn thing through the window - or in the toilet (morning fitness - basketball) ...

A former co-worker getting in touch with me today about an awesome p/t job opportunity that sounds like a perfect fit for me. Hoping it all works out and is meant to happen. :)

I am greatful that my iPod still works even though somehow my kids managed to put a big crack in the screen.

I'm so so grateful that this semester is over and finalized on Tuesday.

Being given the opportunity to try being an in-home, non-medical "companion" to an awesome elderly gentleman and his wife. My heart is grinning from, um, ventricle to ventricle (lol) and is about to burst open with joy. :D

Now, if only I could capture this feeling and bottle it up for later............

Yesterday my therapist not only informed me (on the contrary to a different therapist who was convinced that besides Ritalin, Concerta and Strattera nothing else exists for ADD) many products beside my range of experimentations exists - but prescribed me for one that's called Waldrum of something. Anti depressant functioning quiet like Strattera. Along with something very special - she created, by combining several different fleurs de Bach drops - a very selective product designed for me. Home made 4x4 drops a day and I'm dead curious !

The day before my birthday, in the middle of the week, the last of my stage, when I'll go back home I'll have, on that very Wednesday, a couple of hours before my flight leaves to London Gatwick. The day of my very birthday, I'll get, while knowing every single person I know will be either on school either working, to see a very London-ish sunshine, only to return the day after my birthday to Geneva again. Talk about replacing my 18 and 20nd birthday !

For the backpacking trip, long story short, instead of backpacking and complicating our lives - with my best man we're going on... the hell... a cruise for 8 days through Greek islands... after 3 days of Rome and before one of the greatest festivals in Europe - a ticket to the Wacken :)

I am grateful to finally have enough time in my day to actually check ADD Forums. :yes:
Even though I know it's just the calm before the storm that is last week of classes, I am enjoying it while it lasts.

Happening across an ad for a Djembe drum that is perfect for me and very reasonably priced w/ extras!!!!! As part of my passion to remain in the musical and therapeutic arena, I hope to attend a drum facilitator workshop in June that would certify me to host my own drum circles, etc. :D

In one day : left old band, no bad blood, and directly entered new band for which we have reunion already in two days. Needless to say - I'm damn happy =D

The opportunity and fortunate circumstances that allowed me to get the djembe drum I've been wanting. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's such a beauty and sounds sooooooo good! I wish we could do an ADDF drum circle. We'd raise the roof up in here!!!! :D

Today marks my sixth year w/o smoking a cigarette!!! Take a big ol' deep breath with me. ;) Definitely one of the hardest things I've done in my life thus far. It's a damn miracle no one was harmed during the first few months to a year of that process. :)
