View Full Version : De Railers Anonymous(DRA)
FunnyHead 10-28-09, 02:16 AM Hi My name is FunnyHead,
and I'm a de-railer.
I am sorry for all the de-railing posts.
Does anyone else have a problem with de-railing.
I am in my first phase,
I admit I am a de-railer.
I can't seem to stop.
river09 10-28-09, 10:30 PM "A De-railer am I"
without a defense
and I wonder most times,
"Do I even make sense?"
Should I stop, should I go?
Should I turn around slow?
No, I think not!
I am who I am
OR I am who I'm not!
Either way, I Am...
...just a girl, along for the ride
I will hop on your train
I will give you my side
But don't expect me to stay
for I know that its coming
like a tiger in the night
with very little warning
(And try if I may
to stay on course
I will run and jump blindly
pulled by the force)
(You know, The force!)
'sorry, was not even planning on writing anything, let alone, in poem form. Actually, there is not much form to it, which supports the whole de-railer concept. If that what you were even talking about. O' Whatever.

A few noted members of this board were notorious for de-railing threads. It appears they've either been blocked, deleted or have moved on.
The general consensus was it wasn't appreciated.
river09 10-28-09, 11:15 PM sorry, guess I didn't know exactly what was meant by de-railing...
First thought was that it was talking about one idea and then just fading off kinda without finishing and going into a whole different idea.
but I see now what was meant so I guess my little poem doesn't fit here
FrazzleDazzle 10-28-09, 11:55 PM I've not noticed you de-railing anywhere I hang out, FunnyHead, but if you are in de-railers anonymous, your efforts are much appreciated.
I have noticed being able to post in peace as of late, in the areas I frequent, and it has been VERY refreshing and relaxing around those parts. Thank you to whatever powers that be in those efforts.:)

I really enjoyed your poem.
I thought it was in easy to read.
Single Line form.
I find it really hard to read when it is not.
Actually you gave me a perfect example.
"First thought was that it was talking about one idea then just fading off kinda without finishing and going into a whole different idea."
Your example is much more specific.
But I think the same in cause.
Usually something that I read, reminds of something.
And if I am comfortable, I can just go off.
In a hurry before I forget.
There are many different examples,
of this in my life.
Timing of my brain?
Firing of the brain?
Jumping from topic to topic.
Forgetting what I was saying.
And then other times,
I get the question, "Are you still thinking about that?" Interesting.
(is this paradox?)

Excellent point.
I kind of hope that in the future.
More De-Railers Anonymous Thread posts will help each other with this disability.
Its sad to hear that some people where blocked.
Allthough I can see how some would not appreciate the disruption.
Relativity is huge.
Somedays I'm on the bus, and I want to yell.
"Could you please shut up!
"I've just read the same line seventeen times."
"And I don't have a clue what I read"
But I don't,I put my book away, and pretend it was not meant to be.
(This happens much less when take medication)

Thanks,
Sometimes I fall of the wagon.
Impulsive me takes over, the demand to say(write) something.
Before I forget, become manditory, because of personal importance.
Forgetting my manners.
A real friend is someone who lets me know nicely, that I'm de-railing.

Well, if it's not OK to be be ADD on this forum, then I don't know where to go! ;) I do it here, I know I've done it on other forums, but that's just how we think..... As long as we're respectful of others, it doesn't bother me; I like knowing I'm not the only one that thinks like this. :)
lostranslation 10-29-09, 04:15 PM I have no idea what "derailing" means. Apparently, it's bad. I don't want to accidentally do it. (and I feel dumb asking...but I also know you guys are nice.:))
Someone, please enlighten me?
FrazzleDazzle 10-29-09, 04:24 PM Lostintranslation, de-railing is [purposfully?] taking a thread off topic in another direction, on another track.:D:o:rolleyes::(:p:)
I'm glad you don't know what it means. It's very annoying.
Rabbit trails on the other hand..............

I agree,
I could never be a policeman or a moderator.
There would be anarchy.
I've broke the guide lines a couple of times,
And the moderators where really nice about letting me know.
And I agree that I was out of line.(i forgot that kids read this forum too)
At least its nice to know that they know what AD(H)D is.
I agree again, it's all about repects, both ways.
Its awesome to even be able to communicate with other AD(H)D ers.
On the forklift ,
On the night shift,
The sun shall not smite I by day,
or the moon by night.
everything I do will be upfull and right.
Choo! Choo!
My friend almost choked on some food,
I allways tell him to eat slower.
