I started the test but stopped after the question

" Do you watch pole vaulting on TV" followed by the 7 always to never choices. How can i answer this question honestly? When is pole vaulting on TV? Then it came to me...the Olympics. Pole vaulting is on TV during the Olympics. Half way through...do I watch it? Well, I guess if its on TV during the Olympics, Ill watch it. Almost done Every four years if Pole Vaulting is on TV do i turn the channel? Nope My answer is ALWAYS and then i lost interest and asked them if I could finish this at home. They said no. I asked why, i wont cheat. Gave me an answer which sounded bogus, really didnt listen, just heard no. That was my Psychologist, never went back.
My current psych refuses to prescribe any stimulants to me but I will follow is opinion and use his anti depressant. Today he raised my dosage and started talking about organizing my schedule. He recommended an appointment book...just like the one I tried to use day before. No entries and one year had passed since I bought it. I never can remember where I put it. He told me I was a saboteur and that have a fear of going to my appointments. I tried to explain that showing up one day later because i forgot the date(missed 5 total appointments this year with date issue, on time four out of the twenty appointments with various dentists orthopedic surgeons and him. I am on my last strike with this guy.
This post is too long.
Just wanted to see how you guys are dealing with it, or see whats working.
I am sick and tired of feeling overwhelmed when trying to complete just one project. I want to be able to grab a soda in the middle of the project and not want to sweep the floor(leave the dust pan out , because I notice my pool needs to be skimmed abandon that while grabbing chlorine tablets because something else distracts me... no one is reading this faugurvgregjuiegaigsjjwjigwjgjeuig spiotjio

I read it. I appreciate you taking the time to share your insight. I support you in trying to get help, and fully understand your frustration.

Positive thinking is the key. Don't let your troubles get you down, instead let your recognition of your problems be a door through which you may pass to begin your journey to a better, more organized, happier life. Knowing the problem is the first step to finding a solution. :D

And honestly, if you are having that much trouble with an appointment book, try one thing at a time. Put a small table inside your door where your keys, wallet, and appointment calendar go. Not sometimes, ALL the time. That is step one. Do it for 28 days, then it is a habit. If it helps, get a key-finder fob and attach it to the appointment book just in case. Make it HARD for your problems to cause you to fail, and it will be easier for you to succeed.

Mayhaps your doctor is not experienced with ADD, but he does seem to recognize your depression. Positive thinking is a difficult skill to learn for a depressed person, but worth all the hard work.

You can do this.

Alternately, get ticked off about loosing things all the time, get motivated, get more stubborn than your brain, and make something good happen for yourself! :D Whatever motivates you, use it, and remember, "can't" is not an option. Even if you "can't" almost all the time, there are times when you "can". Focus on those.

That said, success is some scary stuff, and when you've lived with failure your whole life, you tend to stick with what you are used to; what feels comfortable. It's human nature, but if you want to feel even a little better, you will have to be willing to leave that comfortable place, and venture out into the unknown world where joy and success live.
