From what I know you have to do a certification course to be recognized as a professional course. I think someone was telling me it was like $3000 or $5000.

There really are no actual requirements. There are different ADHD Coaching organizations which are trying to set up guidelines and credentialing but there really is no standard yet. Depending on who you ask you will get a different answer.

Yes !
So in theory, one could just read some books, read this forum and just "give it a go"... but obviously that's not the way to go !!! that's why i was looking into a more "professional" way of starting things....

I have checked out a couple of coaching trainings but it's veeeeeerry expensive :-(

You can also just do an internet search for adhd coaching, and you will probably see many individuals' websites. Most of the local ones I have seen list their training, credentials, special studies, etc, on their websites, and that can give you an idea of what's involved. You could probably even contact some of them for advise on how to get started.
