If there is one area that I feel the most relaxed and free, it is behind the lens.

Thanks to Clever Guy I decided to show my work here, weird though it may be!

The last few years I have been drawn to shooting abstractly using de-focusing, over or under exposure, intentional motion blur, etc.

I just don't really seem to want to take that many *normal* pictures these days.

Here's a couple of samples for your enjoyment(?)

Very cool. I love the third one you posted above. The blurred ones mess with my eyes, lol. I really like these though, because it is your spin on what you see. The fourth picture is really cool too. I've browsed some of your photos on your link, and they are great too. I think it is cool to take something real and make it kind of abstract at times, or to play with textures and colors and such.

I'm glad the other poster convinced you to show your work.

Thanks, Mike, actually it was you who first suggested it and told me about this part of the Forum! thanks. Glad you find some of it interesting.

I'm in awe - seriously. You have a beautiful gift! The perspective in all of these photo's is amazing.

I have wanted to take a phtotgraphy class for some time, though I don't know when that will happen I DO so much enjoy looking at others creative talents.....thank you for sharing!!

btw- The city one is my favorite here - it brought me to a screeching hault as I was scrolling down looking at the photos---the carnival one is a close second - it reminds me of the movie the five (is it five?) people you meet in heaven.

Thanks, that is very kind of you!

Even though I spent many years shooting film, I absolutely love digital since the results are immediate and I can play to my hearts content!

A class is a great idea -- I met several people in a photo class nearly 4 years ago who are still important friends -- but to be able to PLAY is the main thing for me.
