I wonder if it's appropriate to have a forum for Effexor or maybe grouped with other antidepressants. Effexor does also act on dopamine & neophrenine (sp?) and it's causing me some insomnia so I know it has a certain level of stimulant effect. I think it's pretty common for ADDers to get an antidepressant plus a stimulant.

My thought is to try a different SSRI plus ritalin or similar since those are not long lasting like Wellbutrin & Effexor in their stimulating effects and I didn't have trouble sleeping with Ritalin or Adderall.

What I do like about Effexor is the calming effect. I became somewhat obsessive & overfocused on Wellbutrin & stimulants and the Effexor allows me to worry less. My ADD is not severe so maybe the stimulants aren't right for me anyways. Maybe this ought to be in the anxiety forum?

I do think Effexor (or SSRI's) are common with ADDer's though it's not necessarily the key ADD issue.

I think that's an excellent idea. I'll add a section for antidepressants now, and then break it out by med if necessary.
