are there a maximum number of new posts that will display? i didn't visit for several weeks and i thought there would have been *a lot* more new posts than were displayed.

do new posts clear automatically? yesterday, June 17, 2004, new posts seemed to clear if i left ADD forums and came back later. i'm pretty sure i did not "mark forums read" because i didn't know how to. (i was pleasantly surprised to find that option this morning under "quick links.")

We just upgraded the site so that probably has had some affect on the situation.

wheezie check your default display settings in the "user cp" section. You can set it to display the older posts.

Under "Thread Display Options" is an option button for "Default Thread Age Cut Off"

wheezie I think that's right.. yes.

I believe once your cookie expires after a couple hours or so, messages can become cleared even if you don't read them. It seems a bit random but is not a big problem usually.

I was pleased to see the New Posts button on the top of every page now and the quick links.
