I take 10mg in the morning 10mg at lunch and 10 in the late afternoon. My doctor says I can adjust the dosing as long as I don't go over 30mg. My question anyone find that the morning dose is not as effective as the second or third doses. I,m wondering if anyone had this promblem to, and is there anything I can do.

It wakes me up. That's pretty effective if you ask me.
Maybe the other doses seem more effective because the previous doses haven't worn off completely.

I would think the opposite would be true. With the second and third dose there is still some of the previous doses so you get more which has more effect on you. The first dose stands alone so to speak so you find it less effective.
That was what I was trying to say...lol

My son had a hard time falling into a deep sleep on Adderall and AM's were a nightmare until his later doses kicked in. What we did was play with his dosage what we ended up with was a larger dose in the AM and lower dose in the afternoon and an even lower dosage at NOC.
I cannot give you official medical advice, but maybe try giving yourself a higher dose in the morning and a lower dose in the afternoon? Your doc did say you could play with the dosage as long as you didn't go over 30mg a day, and your meds were given to you in the 10mg form, so it sounds like you have some room to play with it. I too need a higher dose in the morning and a lower one in the afternoon. But everyone's different. You can give it a try and see how it affects you. If it dosen't help you can always go back to your normal doseing schedule and then have a talk with your doctor about how you feel the am dose isn't helping you as much as the later doses. Good luck! In my experiance finding the right dose can be tricky.

So far I have expermented for 5 days. I am finding a smaller dose is better in the afternoon. I have been doing 10 mg then 5 mg.
I have been on Adderall for three weeks. I began on 20mg XR taking only one in the morning. I noticed some change but still not able to focus as well as I need to. I am now up to 30mg XR taking only one in the morning. I see a big change for me during the day; however, in a few weeks I start back to college (working full time in the day and going to school full time at night). I guess I will deal with this challange when I need to. But for now, I find that I can concentrate more at work, I don't feel that intense anger while driving to work, and I seem to be making better decisions. I've read that ADDers don't always see our decisions the way others do - so the above statement is only the way that I see and feel about my decisions. My daughter was diagnosed with ADD 3 years ago. She takes one 20mg XR in the morning. She said she really sees a huge difference in school. She experiences a let down period in the afternoon - she gets real edgy and tense and wants to be left alone. I haven't experienced this.
