There are cons about buying a mac?! :D

CNet Likes it (http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/apple-mac-pro-two/4505-3118_7-33541093.html)

(sorry, dont have much to add, just love my mac, but you already know that!)

You actually only need the quad core if you will be multitasking a lot. For example, running parallels desktop while doing simultaneous work on your mac. I'd get it anyway, just to say I have it.

Off topic- AMD make a 12 core () processor, topping Intel's 8.

I just got mail from Apple. If I buy a new Mac before September, I can get a free iPod touch. Gee . . . talk about your perfect timing.

Werl, I hate having to decide what to add on to the computer. The last iMac I bought (2002), all I did was add a memory card. If I get the quad-core 27" iMac, do I need extra memory? Have you had much experience with the new software programs for Macs?

Memory is needed, depending on how much you want to get, try getting the basic then adding 3rd party memory. Much cheaper.
