I have anxiety but every anxiety meds I have been on made my anxiety worse, much worse including bouts of aggression! I became fearful of the meds!! But then my new doctor put me on lexapro and anti-depression and my anxiety when down! He said it was common for those with ADD to have depression meds work for them and not anxiety.. anyone notice this?

Sometimes when I take Xanax (which isn't very often) I actually become very angry and very short tempered and have fits of rage.

I'm on Lexapro 10mg since January and it has really helped my anxiety and anger tremendously! I've only had to take Xanax once (maybe twice) since then.

Nice to know someone else had the same results :D

Lexapro was recently FDA approved for General Anxiety

Funny - I was actually prescribed the Lexapro for depression. But it ended up treating my anxiety instead which I think helped ease some of my depression. Then I went on Wellbutrin which has really helped address my depression.

BTW, while I was on vacation I tried to stop taking the Lexapro. Just wanted to see if I still "needed" it. I'll never do that again! Ended up in an anxiety attack 3 days into my respit. Went right back on it. Won't be doing *that* again!

Yes...my life is a lot more serene with my Lexapro

I only took Lexapro once, and was asleep for most of the weekend.
I've been taking Risperdal (along with Adderall, Zoloft, etc.), but was just switched to Seroquel.
The Risperdal gave me real relief from life-long anxiety.
Not so sure about the Seroquel.
Had a moment of panic and a knot in my abdomen yesterday.
