You felt better without it? Did it make you tired or what? I'm thinking of going off it over thanksgiving break. I'm anticipating a headache.

The first day I had some ridiculous cravings. All I could think about was getting something with caffeine in it. In the evening, I had a pretty bad headache. I went to bed earlier than normal. The next day, I woke up feeling more refreshed than regular, but still a bit of a craving. The headache went from bad to mild, and then the following day, I no longer had the headache. I started actually feeling like I could fall asleep at regular times and get up at regular times. Mornings seemed much friendlier.

The next day, I woke up feeling more ADHD than regular, and still had unbearable craving. The headache went from bad to excruciating, and then the following day, I no longer had a head. A guy in my lab today had 4 cups of coffee, a large soft drink, and a thing of tea in a relatively short period of time. He said he was still tired. Lol. I think the best thing though, is that I now have an undergrad who is wanting to work with me on my project(s). I would/still do have caffeine throughout the day. But I don't usually drink any after ~5 or 6. But...if I do have some beyond the afternoon period, it's generally in the form of ~35mg in a single can of cherry coke.

I don't get tired until it's ridiculously late. And then I don't wake up in the morning. When I actually do sleep, it doesn't matter how much sleep I get, I never feel rested. But for a while, that wasn't the case when I just stopped with caffeine. It was an every night thing though, it's not like I really ever had a single day of trouble sleeping. There were definitely worse days, but I never had even a decent night's sleep.

RF: The hostel I live in is bringing me down.

My neighbor sells meth, another sells crack. I've seen this crazy crackhead come and go from the building, who I know for a fact has killed someone and stabbed/bludgeoned many others. Most of the buildings residents are drug addicts and the other half are mentally ill (they are safe as), some are both (very not safe).

RF: My therapist is sending me off to some daycamp thing so I can meet some people my own age who aren't really bad influences.

Yay!
Yay?
(Let's see how my social anxiety and OCD handles it...)

RF: I am way too impulsive to be around people who use drugs.

It's scary. Example; I have never done coke in my life, then out comes an 8th of peruvian flake from a 'friends' pocket, 3.5 grams later I'm thinkin, 'Oh shizz man, you're not supposed to do that..'

I can't handle anger. I always thought it was a bad thing and took the wwjd, turn the other cheek route during my formative years. I have struggled a lot with chronic low depression and some really depressing times every once in a while. growing up, with peers, I never got mad, just sad. I always was quick to blame things other than the person Causing conflict. I pretty much loved everybody and was compassionate to a fault.

I am very grouchy by the end of the day. Last week, one of the new techs (a young girl that told me she had ADHD and we had a good talk about it) kept invading my space in the last couple of hours of the evening. I just stayed cold and quiet. She eventually got the hint and wandered off to go hang out with the other staff, who I am sure informed her to stay clear of me on the last few hours of a double.

Anyways, I gotta start pattin' down for the night. I'm gonna go put on a movie and try to fall asleep. Night, ya'll.

That's if you make an appointment...When DS and DD were born, there was a 4 or 5 month waiting list to get to the US embassy (in London) for their passports (which would then take one day to two weeks). Since we were heading back to central Asia by the time they were 3 months old, they just traveled on their UK passports and then we applied for the US ones from here.

But yeah, it was still faster than doing it from within the US!

I just now found out I felt my first earthquake earlier. I was sitting on my living room floor folding some laundry, and I felt a slight "moving" type of feeling so I looked up. I thought my washer was out of balanced, so I looked over, and saw that it wasn't really shaking like I'd expect it to be when it was out of balance, but I noticed my jacket's sleeve was swaying lightly back and forth. It stopped, and I brushed it off. At one point I even thought "I've always imagined this to be what an earthquake would feel like"...but didn't have the slightest idea it actually was an earthquake. Luckily, I don't live that close to the center.

There is a cemetery in my "front" yard.

My high school was cemetery adjacent. I always felt that it was very fitting though. And on the plus side we got to do some cool projects for art class and history classes that involved going to the cemetery.

Our wal-mart was also right next to the cemetery, supporting my theory about all the wal-mart workers in my home town being zombies.

You haven't paid your blog dues recently.:p

Here it is:

To love someone is to see them for who they are and not what you expect or want them to be.

Why would it be coed? The boys have boy scouts, the girls have girl scouts. Not everything needs to involve mixing genders! There is great value to spending exclusive time with members of your own sex...

Random Fact: It's 10:30 in the morning and DD and I are still in our pyjamas, 'cause today is a holiday! :p

It's now Campfire Kids  It's just not the same....Like if the NFL suddenly allowed women on the teams...

Holiday? Lucky!!!!!

It's 11:44 pm here and I'm not remotely sleepy but I NEED sleep! I have therapy in the morning and I'm useless without a good night's sleep. I've been experiencing a bit of insomnia lately. :(

I've been experiencing a bit of insomnia lately. :(

Same here! Friday night I only got 8 minutes of sleep before I finally conked out at 5:30 in the morning, Saturday we were out until 11, and then I didn't fall asleep until after 2, and last night we got the kids in bed (and straight to sleep--they were exhausted from being out all day) by 7, DH was out by 9, and I was STILL awake at 2 AM. Awake, and mad that I was awake.

Fortunately, I got to sleep in until 10 today, so I don't feel as zombie-ish as I have lately. I never get to sleep in that late. DH is great. I should make him some cookies. :D

god i ******* hate my life right now. got called out really bad at practice, my squad. looked like an absolut idiot. apparently what we always **** up was particularly bad tonight, in the ******* cold with mist raining on us. apparently it was mostly my fault cuz i went up to far and screwed up the rest of the squad. i know the directors call out almost everybody at some point, but in all my 4 years, ive only been called out twice and it's been this year. and despite 'everybody gets called out' i cant ******* take this **** and stress. i know i probably seem like im overreacting to many of my fellow band mates, but my god nobody ******* knows this life i live, all the stress i happen to accumulate, much of it my fault, much of it other's reasons fault. figures, this is the last week of practice forever and we call it 'Hell Week', i now see we dont call it 'Hell Week' for nothing. **** them all. **** the world. **** it all. and worst of all, as i was venting to my mom about this, i mentioned how when i die, it probably will be a stress-related aneurysm (dont know if that actually happens or not), she left, and im sure i made her cry. when i make my mom cry i get really ******* violent and angry and sad and depressed and self-loathing and want to ******* disappear from reality because whenever i make somebody upset and/or feel bad about something, maybe it's the ADHD-C or the depression or the other personality that does this, but i feel like absolut **** after doing it and grow increasingly detached until either things are mended or until i go to great lengths to mend it only to find out they forget it or i just fall into another depressive cycle for a few months anyway due to my socially handicapped life.

I was doing my chem homework and I was given a diagram of a caffeine molecule and needed to say what the formula was. Instead of counting all the different atoms like I was supposed to (which is really dumb and pointless) or even being lazy and googling it (which would be horrible and cheating), I thought of you, Molecule and just checked your name :D That's probably also cheating...but you should just know that you helped me with my chemistry homework, so thanks.

Someone copied my credit card number and wiped out our UK bank account in September. We found out today when DH went to transfer money to our US account ('cause we can do free withdrawals on that card) and there wasn't anything there. I never even touch my card. It's been in our house since we came back from the UK in July. Apparently, whoever it was went off to Dubai and withdrew as much as they could...

We called the bank and they canceled my card. They said they could get the money back, but we're hoping they can do it without a signed fraud report, 'cause that would have to be hand carried in by someone (can't trust the mail).

The upsetting thing is that the card info had to have been stolen by someone who was actually in our house. I've never used it, not even online, and it's just been sitting in a bag in the corner of our bedroom all this time.

About the card.... it is possible to spoof card numbers... the crooks know the hash of varius types of card eg Visa/Mastercard. They then try various number that may be valid with small online transactions till they get a hit. Then they make a card and use it where chip and PIN isn't used and only a signature is required. since they signed the card this will match.

Most banks have software to spot if this is happening.... but not all.

Basically there's no need for a crook to gain physical access to the card itself... all they have to know is a valid number. Sometimes they go as far as to match name and number, in your case that indicates a leak somewhere in the bank.

You should get your money back.... it's an open and shut case.

this week is making me its *****. we got of practice an hour early due to rain and them not wanting us to soak wet inside and possibly get sick. so now tomorow's practice is 5-9 (original 5:30-8:30), then i have to decorate the hallway with all other seniors afterward, probably wont get home till 10 or 10:30, and i have to have squads tomorow before 5 and go until we ******* get it right and stay right, but i can only keep them so long cuz we need to eat dinner and stuff. and when i get home at 10something i know i will have a bit of homework and/or studying since i havnt had much homework these past 2 days and i know my teachers are going to **** me over good tomorow, or god forbid, thursday, since im gone friday till about 3 pm on sunday. **** the world, **** the ********, **** reality

another rf: mom always tells me 'knowing is half the battle', today we were talking about how my dad is sick, after recovering from a cold, etc. and how things like stress can set this stuff off. then we mention keeping a positive mental attitude and i mentioned i literally would kill a man to be able to have a positive mental attitude whenever i wanted/needed it, or have one 99% of the time. she says anybody would, but i note i am such a pessimistic cynical ******* that i hate my personality because of it, because im pretty 'normal' and happy usually, but one bad thing sets me off into depressive mode. she says knowing is half the battle, i get that, ive always known everything wrong with me, problems is I DONT KNOW WHAT TO FREAKING DO ABOUT THE OTHER HALF: DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I DONT ******* KNOW. and this is really going to lead me to a breakdown by the end of the year since i cant even understand my own self. or whatever it is.
