Received approval to do a local community showing of the documentary "Playing for Change: Peace Through Music" at my favorite restaurant/music hall in March!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll be asking for a $5 donation from folks that attend. We'll have a brief intro, then show the movie, then have a discussion afterwards. Thinking of having local musicians host the discussion. The total amount raised with be split 50/50 between our local homeless shelter and the Playing for Change Foundation.

My mind is swirling with ideas of how to make it as kick *** as possible. :D

I'm so excited, i just can't fight it!!!!!!!!!!! :D

If I could do a cartwheel w/o risking a visit to the ER, I'd be doing it. lol

I TOTALLY know what you mean! Misspell OR pronounce incorrectly. I get that with my name all the time. I had a substitute in HS who called be Doug. Yeah, a boy named Sue, a girl named Doug.:scratch: I finally got tired of correcting her and just went with it.

When my friend referred me to her endocrinologist she didn't have his telephone number but gave me his name to look up. Well, his name didn't start with a "W", like she pronounced it. It started with an "H". Took me forever to find him because I was looking for the wrong last name  I show up for the appointment and his STAFF pronounce his name with a "W"! I finally asked him if he pronounced his last name with a "W" sound or an "Hw" sound. I told him I wanted to make sure I was saying it correctly. He was rather surprised and told me that I was one of the few people who actually pronounced his name right.

I guess when you grow up with people butchering the spelling and pronunciation of your name, you learn it's really important to some people to get their names right!

i look white, so most people never question ethnicity for me unless i tell them otherwise or if ethnicity becomes a topic of discussion. then i usually win for how diverse it is amongst most my friends if it comes up.

i also hate it when people misspell my first name which isnt that hard to misspell, or if they mispronounce my last name

I can't keep still and not doing anything long enough to ever have nail polish that looks good.

It mystifies me how other people do it. I've tried machines that blow air on my nails, quick-dry topcoats, prayer, and yet every time I end up with completely messed up manicures.

Once I even got a professional manicure. It cost a ridiculous amount of money and it lasted one day.

So I don't bother.

I had a bunch of aleve in my system. It didn't help. I finally fell asleep and slept it off for the most part. I've been up and down so much lately. Headaches are seemingly randomly hitting me but this headache was honestly the worst I think I've ever had. Yeah, but having to trace up and down an ancestral tree is much less impressive than going straight back to mitochondrial Eve. Especially when it's in the magnitude of "super crazy ungodly distantly".

I'd actually be significantly more impressed if something significant happened between the 3 of you, considering I'd estimate the probability of that to be around 1/the same magnitude of "super crazy ungodly distantly".

RF-I used to have up to 30+ cats.People used to drop off entire litters of kittens to my house. We used to take them in & get their shots. We would also get them neutered or spayed.I had them in our barn & also on our back porch. It cost me a fortune to care for them.At the time, I loved them all & did the best for them that I could.I'm down to only 2 cats which is much more manageable.

I want to change the feeling of becoming physically ill as a result of knowing some of the blatant and repeated unethical things they do and continue to get away with. Attempting to address these things in the appropriate format has only put a larger target on my back throughout the last few years and put up roadblocks in my attempts at moving up the ladder. Been there a total of 13 yrs., but it's clearly time to move on.

Did you do it?

Not yet, but will be discussing it with my immediate supervisor tomorrow.

That's one of my biggest fears also, but I have a feeling that knowing I will have a set date to be free from the people who have been working really hard at controlling me these last few years will bring a sense of freedom like no other, and I hope to roll with that with a positive mindset.

Meanwhile, I have some p/t prospects to explore and a husband willing to be supportive during my unknown transition. I guess this is one of those times not having my s*** together could prove to be rather useful since no one will be able to tell if it all falls apart. hahahaha

Luck to you!:D

So I haven't had the guts to discuss or give notice at work yet. And have become physically ill once again just thinking of it. Grrrrr...... Meanwhile, a co-worker's father passed away and there's more of a need for me to be there. Ugh!

Sometimes, I really hate having a conscience and feeling obligated, like I have to do the right thing. I wish I could just say screw it and do what I want. Although, getting fired isn't what I'm aiming for. Days like this are when I can really understand the mindset of someone who can't see a reason to keep trying.

Take many deep breaths, recoup, and regroup. It's gotta get better.

I had a heart to heart with my boss today and I've decided to stay put for now. I'm feeling fortunate that he isn't as emotional as i am, :) , and that he's willing to listen and discuss vs. dictating.

Aww, dang. That's gotta be a pretty rough. I had a few complications with my back right wisdom tooth extraction, and still deal with it on a regular basis. I had that surgery ~10 years ago. :( So I can understand the annoyances of that recovery process, but it's great that he didn't actually have any complications. Hopefully he'll heal soon and all will be well.

Health issues started in July of 2011. Doctor today finally made a comment along the lines of "Well, I'm really going to have to spend some time doing some research into this, to look at a few various conditions. There is a strong chance there is something physical happening which is causing a lot of this, because stress/anything in your control does not account for what you've presented."

It's about freaking time they listened to me. I swear. I've done *everything* in my physical capability to correct my ailments, including taking all of the advice that was given to me and putting it into practice. I don't think they actually believed me when I told them this or something in the past, since it took a few different symptoms that are directly observable and do not happen because I'm not listening to them about "stress".

The very first time I drove on an interstate, I was a nervous wreck. I *hated* getting stuck between semi-trailer trucks in my extremely small car, and that was the majority of my trip.

However, now, aside from my crappy 4-cylinder engine roaring constantly when I'm going 70+ mph, I much more enjoy highway driving.

In the city, all the stopping and going drives me crazy. I also have a Progressive chip that monitors my driving habits, so the highway is so much easier to not worry about having "hard stops". I love not having to worry about watching for traffic lights changing, pedestrians, bicyclists, and all the other clutter in the city that would make Progressive give me less of a discount because I defensively drive and keep myself out of wrecks but "hard brake" to do it.

If my blood pressure was more unhealthy, I could take a particular migraine preventative drug. But it isn't, so I can't. I had 5 days of migraines in the last 2 weeks. ::sigh::

Thats awesome. I do acrylic art. Maybe ill post some later. You know a good website to sell stuff is on FineArtAmerica. Im registered as a collector but you can also register as a artist and sell your pics, drawings, etc.
I would try to sell my art but all of it is copied of something already drawn. I just change to colors

This video encompasses so many things I think and have thought throughout the years. Warning though, if you are offended by cursing, this does contain some/a lot. But it still so perfectly captures thoughts that go through my head all the time:

******* 2nd auditions today. at least it's the last this site will ever hear about them from me again. dont know why we have them since im comfortable with where im at. dont want to run the risk of getting a lower seat, which means getting put in the stupid band (im being kinda harsh calling it that, but it's where the sub-my school's average playing ability people go). wish me luck that i stay where im at.

We have a new cat ! So happy, I'm already fond of it. 9 months old, black with white feet, I proposed 'Reina' and 'Devora' but called it 'Café' in the end =) It jumps around already, it's a bit less shy than first. It's so tiny it can fit anywhere... we've lost it already so many times...

Wow, some coincidence that - Reina is our Elder Daughter's medieval name. I'm Lovis, the Butcher's Widow.

No percussion, other than the misguided attempts at tapping various surfaces like I know what I'm doing. I do play the horn however, and miss doing that competitively.

well in the upper crevice of my ear there used to be a zit...yeah i also get zits in very weird places on my body as my random fact... i didnt feel it after a while, then that day my ear itched a little, so i did a little brush, and scratched off a scab that formed there, and started bleeding profusely.

I LOVE getting orders from Mertz Apothecary(in your neck of the woods, Conman) because they individually wrap each product in bubble wrap. For some reason their bubble wrap is especially crisp and pop-y! No deflated bubbles on any of the sheets!

I keep all packaging bubble wrap (that I don't pop straight away) in a box so that if get the urge to pop some at any time I always have some around

I love changes - look at my name, changed it twice already ! =P

Had a rare occasion yesterday to prove I'm not ALWAYS awkward, but occasionally can be very communicative. I was confident and made acquaintances and good jokes. We talked about dreams, I openly shared I have ADD-C, APD and haemophilia and met a BPD, ADHDer and many people. Instead of being insecure and shy around (!)12 people I just couldn't shut up.

Really glad I came after all ^.^ - besides, invited for a second metal band now !

RF Moles are tunneling all through my flower gardens & uprooting the plants.I put used kitty litter down their tunnels, it's supposed to make them go away.Another old time remedy is to put ExLax in their tunnels, that's a laxative, & it's supposed to bloat the moles.I don't want to hurt the little critters I just want them out of my garden.

I just found some extremely good, at least three unarguable sources that reveal there is a medication bias that effects our country and how many people are prescribed to Prescription drugs, and show exactly how it's done.
