I didn't know where to put this, but myself dealing with financal problems of just not being able to afford the medication and not being elgible for low income assistance I found this, and thought it could be of help to others.

Most drug manufacturers help people in financial need, regardless of their age. However, in order to qualify you need to meet the following three basic requirements:

You do not currently have insurance coverage for outpatient prescription medicines

Your income is at a level that causes hardship when prescription medicines are purchased at retail price
You do not qualify for a government or third party program that provides for prescription medicine coverage
Keep in mind that sponsor's individual's income criteria vary with family incomes ranging from bellow the poverty level to up to $60,000!

Those applicants normally qualifying at the highest income limits are generally MS, AIDS, transplant or cancer patients in need of very expensive drugs.

Just an FYI on this program.

I believe that it is $10 per medication that you are trying to get for free.

What you get is simply a letter that you can give to your doctor that will supposedly help you get the free medication.

I have one around here somewhere and I'll post it when I can get a scan of it (and find it).

I don't think that this site is a scam or anything, but just be aware of what you get for your money.

I went ahead and submitted - figured I was not going to cry over $10 if it didn't work.

It was $5 per med submitted, I submitted 2 to see what would come of it.

I submitted for Strattera, even though just recently the doctor changed me over to Ritalin which for me was a whole lot cheaper... so maybe if it goes through on the Strattera I can go back to it, I have just started and have not been on either med long enough to know if they worked, which was better.

So I will report back my findings.
