I haven't been very successful in drawing a whole lot of conversation out of the folks here. I'm beginning to second guess myself.

I'm not exactly a "people" kind of guy at the best of times. I don't have much experience functioning in groups. I've often wondered if I was socialised enough as a kid. Those, combined with a tendency to miss cues, I am likely blundering more than I know. I have tried to make my amends where I've seen a problem.

I tend to be a overbearing. I often get told I'm intimidating. Have these habits followed me here loudly?

I suppose I should just relax and wait for my mentor to appear.. < g > It has been said that when the student is ready the master will appear.

Dark side of the moon. Ian.

I tried to attach a big bundle of soft foam pointed sticks so you could all poke, prod and beat me toward a thicker skin. Apparently foam sticks were not written into the software. Maybe Big will pass that along to Douglas for the next upgrade. I"m sure you all can improvise.

hugs to all. ian

Ian, I have never found your posts to be overbearing in the least! You seem to have the ability to gently coax some of the more rambunctious members (myself included:o ) into simmering down. I must also remark on your incridible gift for honest self-examiniation. Your thoughts have often inspired me to push aside my fear of the unknown and give it a try myself.

missing ya on the light side,
FG

Ok that's quite enough to make me blush. You are very kind to say those things and I am grateful. Thank-you.

I hope FG's lack of hugs encourages those less enchanted to contribute as well.

I know I'm not without gifts but one of them is not having come to the table with a generous spirit. I have made strides but I need simmering down periodically too so consider the offer open.

Cheers! Ian.

See - Tom Waits "Emotional Weather report" on his old album Nighthawks at the diner.

WC I am just being greedy I think. Focusing on what I don't have rather than what I do. Thanks for the offer. I'll use it as required.
Cheers! Ian.
