I got my blood test back, and found out that none of it was for the ADD / Bi-Polar but instead for my weight problem, but also they checked my Liver!

Doctor asked me if I had ever had my Gall Bladder removed (which I have not) and then he said I had a Fatty Liver... said that he needed follow up test on my Gall Bladder and said I would be required to go on special diet.

He did not explain to me what the issue with my liver was, so I went online and found out fatty liver means enlarged liver, and that it also involved the gall bladder. And if not taken care of could turn in to liver curiosis (sorry if spelled wrong).

Somewhere just in the last day I just read that Ritilan might have adverse action on the liver?!?

Does anyone know anything about this possibility?

That was me just making a general comment. All medications are bad for the liver. Moderate doses are probably not a serious problem. Anyways it was just a real general uneducated comment.

Ritalin is not going to cause a fatty liver - not at theraputic doses. How much ritalin do you take and for how long have you been taking it? It takes long term abuse to hurt your liver, or it could be genetic or related to diet. Drugs like alcohol and acetominaphen (tylenol) more commonly cause liver problems with long term use/abuse.

I just started today, I am taking 10mg 3 times per day... already had doctor confirm a problem with liver, so checking up with that, just was not sure if anything else I was doing now was going to cause further problems.

At this point I just don't know other then my being over weight to have contributed to this problem now, so I will not worry then about the new medication. Thanks
