Does anyone take concerta and ritalin?? I take concerta(36mg) in the mornings and i would like to up the effects by taking a little ritalin along with the concerta. does anyone else do this?? my concerta just finally started working (2.5 hours later!!).....
Have you tried taking setting an alarm and taking your concerta 30 to 60 minutes before you actually get out of bed?
I have heard of people taking both short acting Ritalin and Concerta in the same day but not right at the same time. Have you taken short acting ritalin before and noticed that it does kick in right away?

in two weeks' time i'm going to see my doctor, and then i'm going to ask for a prescription for ritalin, because 54 mg concerta "only" lasts for about 9-10 hours, and i'd definitely like to be "adhd/add free" for more hours per day than that!

I dont take it at the same time...i take 36mg of concerta when i wake up. I was thinking about taking an extra 10mg of regular ritalin within 30min of taking concerta. I just started concerta today for the second time. I did notice it worked ok but... im thinking i need a stronger dose. i was tired the whole day. does anyone else get tired on concerta or ritalin. im 170lbs do u think 36mg is not enought for my body weight?? my doctor gave me 36mg and 56mg im thinking about taking the 56mg tomorrow? stimulants should work this first time u take them?? i know u cant tell me what dosage to take but i need some info... thanx

I'm interested to see what they say - I have the same problem (see post "Evenings" under "Ritalin"), although I'm just on the short-acting Ritalin ATM.

it's *amazing*, isn't?!
:)
i *finally* feel like i'm *in control* of myself/my actions/my feelings, and all this because of 54 mg of concerta...
:D
(okay, then: *and* 300 mg efexor;-)
I would think it would give you little ups and downs but I might be wrong

thanks, jayblaze2!
:)
so, now i've spoken to my doctor. she felt that since she still knows very little about adhd and the different types of medications for (or rather: *against* it!;-), our first priority should be to change the type of anti-depressant i take.
i've been on efexor (300 mg/day) for over a year, but now i'm feeling *so* much better than i did when i first started taking them, and so we both felt that now would be a good time for me to switch to prozac (or "fontex" as it's called here in sweden)...
after i've sucessfully switched to prozac (fontex;-), then we'll discuss "the stimulants issue"!
:D
