View Full Version : Is it safe to combine Clonazepam with Ritalin and Effexor XR?

My therapist told me to check whether I can temporary take Clonazepam for relief of anxiety ...
But I am also on Ritalin and Effexor XR.
Does anyone know whether it's okay to combine those meds?

Of course I will also consult my physician tomorrow.

Your therapist needs a new day job, but yes. Effexor XR has insane side effects if you ever decide to come off it. Be careful with that, but you can take that cocktail, and have no horrible side effects or OD's. I take a similar cocktail(Dexedrine, Klonopin/Clonazepam/Wellbutrin/Ambien.)

It will help, but it's a Godsend for a blink of the eye. Make sure you don't let them give you too much, cause it will ruin benzos for you(the only kind of drug that helps anxiety and doesn't make you cry or gain 100 pounds.) I'm at 2.5 mg a day with 75 a month. And only Valium does anything for me...

I trying lexapro for anxiety it's not going well. Basically all I need relief from is chest tightening. I would think tenex or intuniv or maybe atenol would alleviate this without altering cognition
