View Full Version : Favorite Pair of Shoes?
Up until I moved to Florida, my favorite shoes were Timberland boots. Now (and I can't believe I'm admitting this in public :o ) my favorites are these cool surfer open-back nylon sandles that I got. They're so comfortable. :)
andrea76 04-23-03, 12:56 PM i'm a dual season'd kind of a chick:
winter = Boots (ie, docs)
summer = sandals (my toes must be free from the opression of the sock)
The ones that I can actually find when I don't leave myself enough time to get ready when leaving the house.
joanrdtobe 04-23-03, 01:07 PM with jeans -- these cool black tie shoes with one inch heels or my cool black boots!!
in the house I like to wear slippers with my jeans....
OR barefoot with toes polished red....
andrea76 04-23-03, 01:08 PM that brings us to the sock issue,
tara, do your sox match?
mrsbenn603 04-24-03, 01:16 PM Umm i hate shoes try not to wear them but when i do , I wear sandals in summer and boots in winter , My favorites have to be my big fuzzy slippers .
Well if I had my way I would wear sandals year round..in the winter when there isn't snow on the ground I wear socks with my sandals. But if it's too cold or wet I wear Boots..usually mens hiker type boots (mens because the toe section is wider than womens). I would wear toe socks with my sandals, but boogie said no way mom..that's just to weird...lmbo
oh and wasn't it Tara that said she hated wearing socks??..lol So she probably doesn't have to worry about that..lol
misclee 04-25-03, 06:07 PM I'm a boot girl. Well, anything with a fat chunky heel, including tennis-shoes, or whatever.
Energizer_Bunny 04-25-03, 11:30 PM It is hard to say what my particular favorite shoe is. But it has to fit right and be comfy. I love my Ropers. I have always had trouble finding shoes that fit, since my big toe is kinda long. So if a shoe fits me in the toes, it is to big in the heel. It kinda reminds me of ADHD. They don't have shoes for people like me that have different feet which is the same as the society we live in not adaptive to ADHD individuals.
I grew up with my shoes in my hand but now that I have to wear them I like nike tenny shoes because they're roomy, and teva or birkenstock sandals. And all of those are very comfortable.
minn306 02-04-05, 03:42 PM I have to go with Tara's answer. I have a closet full of shoes, but can I find a matching pair as I am walking out the door??!!
My 3 yr has a fetish with shoes(she keeps wearing MY shoes & loosing the other one).................so maybe that will be her career when she grows up!!
ya know im a two season kind of guy--an OLD pair of short redwing boots during summer (not too dorky with shorts) & winter an OLD pair of justin boots. both broke in just right.
best part about boots is that who cares iffn the sox dont match (if there are sox at all? :D
I should be ashamed to write this...but i aint lol.
I own one pair of sneaker
one pair of hicking boot
and one pair of sandal
oh yeah and sleeper...
I am a barefoot kinda person...i hate shoes..
auntchris 02-05-05, 03:43 AM my fuzzy slippers around the house and for college my Dr.marten I need them bad arches here
Nucking_Futs 02-05-05, 09:30 AM I will openly admit to having a slight shoe fetish. My daughter and I own more shoes then the men in our family and I can't wait until I can share shoes with her.
Depends on my mood and were I am
At home I wore my big headed trumpet blowing elephant slippers out so my kids got me big ole moose slippers this year.
At work I'm on my feet all day and really love my Nike air mesh shoes they were really helpful while pregnant my feet could swell all they wanted and my shoes never got too tight. Right now I have New Balance cross trainers in bright colors my favorites are white with bright orange trim and the yellow ones are kinda cool too. I can't stand any shoes that are heavy or tight.
When working outside or in the woodshop I wear an old pair of camophlage hunting boots because I don't freak if they get dirty and they have steel toes and I'm often dropping things on my feet in the shop.
For dress I wear boots or docs.
In the summer I love my little black sandles...they have a little heel that is wide because I'm a clutz, they are strappy and have a silver lizard that goes from my big toe to my ankle.
Deeperblue 02-05-05, 09:45 AM It is a toss up:
I love the pair of Vans [sneakers] which I, ahem, *grin-grin* borrowed from my daughter.
I love my 3inch, black, strapless, open toes which I wear when I play *sexy woman*. gotta love the red toe polish. ;)
Mostly I am very content and comfy in my wal-mart mens oversized blue velour slippers. [these were supposed to go to the b/f----but Sorry-you]
But lately, *wah-wah* I am mostly quite sad about the favorte black boots that I wore when I was playing wild club woman at club and out on a date with that nice guyfriend *blush-blush*. [ i am not too happy because I thought that I took both boots from my suitcase and directly put them back into my little shoe hanging thingie but have now discoverd that one is missing.] How can this happen. and why me?????
free2bme 02-05-05, 02:42 PM DB,
OH NO....I would DIE without my "woman at club boots!!!!" Of course, the last time I wore them was to court so I guess they have multiple personalities!!;)
I have a million different pairs of black footwear, my favories being thin-strapped, high heeled sandals. They feel great, and draw attention to that nail polish mentioned above.
Oh, I absolutely love my combat boots too!! With a pair of faded jeans, a cute shirt, and a cool hat they actually look really feminine!!! And on the back of a Harley....YIPEEEE!!!
Finally, whenever I can slide into my flip-flops and walk ouside to a warm sun on my face, I know it's going to be a great day....
Shall we discuss chlothing yet??!
auntchris 02-05-05, 04:23 PM I love slip on with that are almost backless ...so easy to runn and go.
A pair of black Cat(apillar) ankle boots and a pair of timberland hiking trainers are my favourite. :D
free2bme 02-05-05, 11:52 PM OHHH. and i must not forget to add that i have 10 pairs of running shoes, and high tops for basketball, all of which I love. The good news is, my feet are small so I can get those in the kids department!!!!! LOL!!!
auntchris 02-06-05, 03:32 AM I also like my ballet slippers they are too big when I was in class I use them as slippers now... auntchris

what???? no wild woman at court boots---as in kick em to the curb??
But you just reminded me of my favorite combat boots. I wore them to my bridal shower. Oh yeah...that was such a pleasant surprise. :D and the pictures are even better.
and maybe someime I will tell you about the time I rode on the bike in my short skirt  and faux snake skin open toe shoes. One of my wilder moments

OK. This I have got to hear DB. And let me tell you something about those multipersonality boots.....they worked EXTREMELY well at kickin em to the curb and far beyond!!!! But definitely, do tell your story about the bike in the short skirt.....thus I will not need to share mine!!!;) I have a pair of faux snake skin pants which are a tad funky to say the least, but damn it's fun to have those wilder moments at times, huh???:D
Glad I could be of service in the combat boot recall dept. Love mine!!!
You rock, my friend....
Deeperblue 02-07-05, 10:08 AM the story is quite simple:
I go to club in my short skirt and faux-snake-skin-open-toe-shoes
See nice tall muscular guy with his Harley tee shirt on.
I use the ever ready line: "Do you come here often?" hehe
Nice tall muscular guy replies. "Yes."
I then ask, "Do you have a harley?"
He answerss, "Yes----want to go for a ride?"
I consider this idea for a very brief moment in time  and reply, "Yes."
and we do and the rest is history. ;)
not necessirly with this guy, though. that's another story--you know different shoes, different pick-up line hehe
oh, and that same nite I got an invitation to go for a date-ride with another guy. Now don't get the idea that I am a biker babe hangin out at the biker bars. I just like to have fun from time to time. And you never know where you will meet a rider.
But I do suggest that ya carry a pair of boots in your car...just in case. :D
free2bme 02-07-05, 12:50 PM you're a hoot db.....
i'm sitting here laughing out loud!
Lovebug 02-07-05, 11:34 PM Purple Fuzzy Slippers!
I even wear them outside of the house when I'm lazy or running late. Although it's not that unusual in a college town.
Chuck Taylors
If I actually have time to put on shoes I would have to say my classic blk/white chuck taylors. They have seen better days, but they are sooo comfy!
Reefs
However if we move onto summer I constantly wear my black reef flip-flops. Easy on, Easy off and they last forever.
Ironically I list these three pair of shoes, but I actually have a closet full that I rarely wear. I guess there is comfort in just knowing they are there if I need them. Ahh, consumerism.
AJ:rolleyes:
