OK I'm an old farm wife...gender issue's?
I'm a member of http://www.ncgiadd.org . I think it's great organization. The monthly ADDvance Newsletter is full of great info and their mentoring program is unique too. I have not taken advantage of the mentoring program though.
I have met both Patricia Quinn and Kathleen Nadeau and they are both great and VERY dedicated to females and ADD.

I could hug you Tara...Lexi has been diagnosed but getting her the proper treatment is like pulling teeth out of a donkey. Everytime, we go in the therapist asks about Dakota, their physician asks about Dakota. I'm like hello HER name is LEXI this is the child we are supposed to be here for. Trust me all the behaviour modifications in the world are not helping her, she's snotty, bratty, mean, physically abusive I mean a real bully and trying to get her to focus on behavioural management, talk therapy and what her coach says without meds is like trying to suck a watermelon thru a straw. GENDER ISSUE'S --- I GOT EM!!

I joined NCGIADD a few months ago. At first I wasn't too impressed, but I quickly came to look forward to their newsletter. Most of the articles are useful & relate to things I'm dealing with in my daily life. And I must admit that I take comfort in the timing of their newsletter: the July issue has not been posted yet ...the newsletter is written by fellow ADDers, and even though they're my ADD gurus, looks like they still have trouble with time management ...just life me! :D
