I have problems falling asleep and staying asleep when the TV is on in the bedroom.
My boyfriend can't sleep without it on ....
Even if he turns it of,it is already to late, my mind is over stimulated and I can't get any rest.
Any suggestions?
I also turn the alarm clock away from me ,because those little red numbers "bother" me too.
Anybody else with that problem???

My wife and I are both lousy sleepers. We seem to be tuned into each other and that combined with any noise of rolling over or closing a book can lead to another long stretch of trying to get to sleep.

We gave up and have slept apart for several years. The sex has never been better. Apparently rest helps the libido.

In the past 12 months both of us now are taking 1mg of lorazepam before bed to assist with all the other excuses that have kept us from a decent rest at night.

I was going crazy from my brain not leaving me alone ever. It seemed as if I never ever got a break. I was opposed to meds for many years but I'm over that now. I'm safer on the road driving. I'm more patient and I feel better! My dreams are not there for me though and that's sad.

I have a routine no matter what time I get to bed that I follow. It's not too whacked out. I just need to read for a while. I like to write late too but that's more like a guilty pleasure around the forums.

Oh yes !!! Same here.........

Many years ago when my now husband and I movied in together we had a problem with the TV. He couldn't sleep without a radio on, I couldn't sleep with it on. So we tried a TV. It worked for him but I wasn't falling asleep watching TV till late into the night. This all stopped when our daughter was born. We didn't watch the TV in the first place we were so tired we just went right to sleep... :D

We also for years fought over the clock !! He likes to be able to turn his head and see the clock. I have to have it turned so I can't see the light !!! I now have a low side table were he can turn his head and see the clock(its on his side) and his body blocks me from seeing it. Now I have to ask what time it is.... :D or lean over him to see it.......

But lets not get into what kinda fight this causes. can't win..... :D
