"Delirium is a change in mental status that is marked by the inability to focus, think logically, and maintain attention.
A. It is commonly marked by an acute or recent onset.
B. It may be caused by tumors, fever, drug or alcohol intoxication or withdrawal, or metabolic conditions.
C. Assess the patient for the following three conditions:
1. Hypoxia
2. Hypovolemia
3. Hypoglocemia"

Here you guys go. Thats our "real" problem. Hahaaha... ok i need to get off the internet and go back to studying for class tomorrow. *damn, this black hole of a time waster*

Precisely why ADD is not the same as delerium.

I'm with Flakeygirl...the differential daignosis between ADD and delirium is we are born the way we are;therefore distractability is "normal" for us ADDers.... others that exibit these symptoms in sudden spirts are the one who have an abnormality.... :p

Ahh.. but your missing that key part too: "Logical thinking". That adjective "common" does not infer "always".

It is commonly marked - This does not say that this condition is always marked by an acute or recent onset.

Therefor, i have had delirium since i was born.:p
