I think I used to have OCD or OC Personality Disorder. I definitely displayed all of the symptoms that the checklists describe:
-preoccupied with details, organization so much that point of activity is lost
-intense perfectionism to the point where project isn't finished because personal standards are not met
-excessively devoted to work - wasn't productive or efficient but I would set aside my whole evening for homework even so
-overconscientious and inflexible about ethics or other beliefs
-packrat, unable to throw anything out
-felt I had to do everything myself because others' standards weren't good enough
-tightwad until mid or late high school
-very stubborn
-very anxious
-had a hard time stopping myself from washing my hands a lot, checking electrics multiple times to make sure they weren't on, doing things until they felt just right, overobsessed about germs
-used to lie awake at night and worry about someone breaking into our house or our house catching on fire
But fortunately most of these issues have faded a lot since moving out of my parents' house (I suspect my mom is ADD and/or OCD). Now I don't feel totally different from other people as if I have a disorder, I just feel more conscientious. :) Is it possible that I don't have it anymore, in other words, is it possible for these disorders to go away? Or have I just relaxed a lot and learned to cope with my issues?
