Without my iPhone I'd be lost. I have a sneaking suspicion that Steve Jobs has ADD :)

Wondered if anyone could recommend some good aps to help us ADDers?

I don't know about Steve Jobs, but I *think* Bill Gates is an ADD'er. Don't quote me on that, I could be totally wrong...

I have a Droid2. I started using an app called Remember the Milk for remembering chores and minutia. I decided I just can't keep all this little stuff in my head anymore, so the Droid does it for me. RTM is also backed up on line, should you unfortunaltely lose your phone.

I also read this article, http://www.addiva.net/2010/07/29/great-apps-for-ipad-and-iphone/. I *think* this app works with your GPS to remind you when you are close to a chore location, that's pretty cool.

Then I also downloaded an app for my Droid2 called Where's My Droid? Apparently it can somehow override the vibrate mode and ring unil you find it. I imagine they have something similar for iPhone!

Great idea for a thread... sorry I went off the iPhone path, hope my post is useful to you! :)

I also have a DROID, though on medication I haven't lost it yet. I probably have a hundred apps and they are all free. I love the Google Shopper. You can take a picture of most anything and get a price. I play card games all the time like BlackJack. The Weather Channel is good. Voice recorder is good for remembering things. Algebra Tutor and Johnny Grammar keep my mind nimble. Daily Horoscope keeps me apprised of what may happen in my life that day.

oh yeah, Eshkaron. I forgot about my bar code scanner, so said the ADHD'er...

I looked it up, Jobs is and ADHD'er and Gates is a 'suspected.'

He he. As suspected, Jobs and Gates are ADDers: http://www.adderworld.com/blog1/2008/07/26/now-hiring-people-with-adhd/

And there is even an app to test for ADHD: http://www.google.co.uk/m/url?client=safari&ei=ltmCTMCCFI_NjAez7JadAQ&hl=en&oe=UTF-8&q=http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/adhd/id305607557?mt%3D8&ved=0CBAQFjAA&usg=AFQjCNGaUdEI4ncVahKdbB-6Nl7LS99J1A

Well this is good news. If the 2 most powerful business people have AD/HD then that means it is possible for me to one day rule the world. Thank you God.

I sownloaded the Grocery IQ for Droid. Signed hubby up too, so he can add to my list. One less chore for me!

Ha, I know right, I find it spend so much darn time on my iPhone that its almost unhealthy, lol. There is alot of applications actually, I find I am more drawn to the news, and information apps because I like to keep current in the world. I use the built in notepad, plus I find it handy to use any general reminder app for appointments and birthdays. Also, the simplest games are the most addicting and time occupying. I don't know if your iphone is jail-broke or not, mine is, so I have alot more apps and additional packages via cydia and other apps that you might not have access to.

I love all News apps whether it's Yahoo, BBC, CNN or USA TODAY.

I don't use a iPhone, I have a Blackberry and the 2 apps I couldn't live without are Viigo for all the news feeds and Pocket Informant for all my task and time management.

My Blackberry is basically my brain in my pocket and I would be like a zombie without it....completely useless.

What did we ever do without them.

Is it healthy to use it so much though? Could it actually be making the ADD worse because whenever we have a spare minute, we are straight on the smart phone rather then relaxing.

There probably is such a thing as too much of a good thing . Having said that - couldn't live without it :)

I use Pocket Informant (http://www.pocketinformant.com/products_info.php?p_id=pocketinformant_bb). I've tried a whole heap of others and I find this one to be the best.

ToDoMatrix (http://www.rexwireless.com/individuals-tmx-details.php)is another good one, although I think it's more complicated, with more features than necessary and too expensive compared to PI.

I could never find one that was free and any better than ones provided with the Blackberry.

Incidentally, have you got the latest OS on your phone? I found that some of the things I didn't like about the BB built-in organisation apps - task were not sorted in date order in the calendar, for example - were improved once I went to version 5.

I'm still looking for the best organizational ones for the iphone.

My favorite thus far is the self-hypnosis meditation app. It's fabulous!
