About 6 or more years ago the first psychiatrist I was seeing gave me a bunch of bottles of 2.5mg Zyprexa samples. I never really used them (she gave them to me for a kind of self-medicating purpose I suppose) and so after all these years I have more than 150 of the 2.5mg Zyprexa tablets left.

I've gotten to the point where I only have to take 5mg of it now(or half of that sometimes) and I'm wondering if these tablets would have expired past its effectiveness after 6 years? This drug is really really expensive and if the samples I still have are still good then I rather use those than buy new ones. Anyone know if this would be safe to do?

I had some Vyvanse that was a couple of years expired and asked the pharmacist if they would still be effective and he said that generally, medicine only lasts 6 months past the expiration date. Hope that helps!
