Any way that we can see who is in the chat room without pressing a button? New people wouldn't know how to do that. And new people are the ones with questions ok... we all have questions :D

Also if there is a way, and I don't know, but if there is a way to make the window flash in the taskbar for windows users, that would keep me from missing people when they come in or forgetting about conversations. ;)

I'm not sure if this is what you are after but in the "Quick Links" drop down menu there is a link to see who's chatting that will tell you who's logged into the chat without you having to join first.

There is also a command that allows you to have a small sound go off when someone posts something in chat if you aren't there to see it. "/beepall" is the command without the quotes of course. Paul had a good idea too and now I can't remember what it was. Check the chat forums for his and other good ideas.

There is a Who's Online hack but it has made a number of communities crash so I'm waiting for the stable version before we add it and show who and how many people are in the chat room.. :)

Sorry for the delay..

I'm running Debian Linux (sid.) When I use the java chat client, when I right-click in the chat window, the right-click menu shows white text on white background, which is invisible. Makes using the more advanced features of the client tricky.

I'm running Fedora Core 2 with a 2.6.8-1.521 kernel and the latest Java download from Sun and I've got the same problem. I run Mozilla 1.7.2 Java makes no complaints on my end but I have an identical menu display to what meldroc describes.
