I've looked and found the section for parent with ADD children, but is there a forum for parents who have ADD themselves? I would like to talk to other moms who are trying to keep their act together while dealing with toddler and preschool kids!

Julie,

You might try the ADDults section for now. If we take this idea and add another section to the forums, we'll be sure to move your thread there :) Good idea!

Hi Julie,

Although my daughter is now school age, I think I can relate to you. I've got ADD and so does my daughter. Right now I'm going through testing for my daughter so we can figure out the best way to help her as she goes into Middle School. I admit I'm kind of scared and don't know how this next school year is going to go and am glad to talk to other parents with ADD themselves. Post me anytime in either the parents board or the ADDult one that BIG suggested. Dee

Thank you! I'll try the ADDult board and see what happens...

I have a daughter, age 9, with ADD, which led to my being diagnosed as well (thanks to my wife!). Right now I'm trying to do is to learn everything I can about ADD and how it affects both children and adults, and to get my own ADD symptoms understood and better controlled so that I can be there for my daughter, wife and family. So far, I feel like I'm making progress, but would love to hear what other ADD parents of ADD kids are doing for their kids and themselves-- nutrition, sleep hygiene, helping with the kids with school, studying, social issues, etc. Thanks in advance to all who post.
