I need advice on this.
I am thinking about using prepaid cards ( gas, store, credit/gift, etc...) to help control money flow.
What do you think?

It's not a bad idea if you can keep track of it. I know some people, not even ADDers, who keep tiny post-its on the back of their various cards, too, to record their balances so they know where they stand.

which do you think is better, cash or a prepaid card?

I would highly recommend using a prepaid card. I overdrew my bank account hundreds of dollars and I had bills to pay. I went over to my local CVS pharmacy and picked up a Green Dot card. Its a prepaid debit card, you put your cash on it and it can be used anywhere you can use a debit card.
I prefer green dot for over the rest, it must be bias. :)

You can track your balance on their website

the real question, would I save more by using prepaid cards then costs of the card would take, as opposed to cash.
