I actually lived in San Francisco until this past June! I miss those hills!!! I'm now in Southern Florida...no hills here

Wow, what a change! Too bad I missed you! What took you away from this ecclectic place??

Lack of work for one thing. But the reality is, my wife was really missing her family, and wanted to see them.

Real estate prices were still in their dot.com highs but the bottom of the dot com market had already fallen out a while ago.

I was paying as much in San Francisco for a house, as I had paid for an apartment in New York City (where I lived before I moved to San Francisco).

Yes, the cost of living here is not a pretty site:) I hope you are enjoying FL!

Okay, I'm in Loma Linda, California, near the San Bernardino Mountains, but will only be here another 8 or so weeks....it really is beautiful here...but California doesn't really float my boat....too far away from family all of whom are in suburbs of Massachusetts....so am moving back to Florida from whence I came come end of June.....to Broward County/Fort Lauderdale area.....(I came from Tampa but not planning to move back to Tampa....)....so that's my story......FLorida is just a three hour flight from Massachusetts....easy to see my family.....:)

Well, good luck in your move. You should hook up with Big once you get to Florida! I can't help it, I love Cali!

I'm in the wilds of southern New Jersey. We are especially sensitive to those who feel we talk like the Sopranos and that NJ is dirty (usually folks who have hit the Newark airport ot Hoboken) South jersey actually has had a long standing request to be a seperate state.We are so different from northern jersey, farms, fishermen,beaches. antiques,small towns...........bramble bushes everywhere.....anyway. Im in a small area at the very southern tip (Cape May County) in a tiny town near Sea Isle City.
