Today, heading to Job Assesment...I ran into this nice looking Young guy and we started a conversation...and he mention something about hop they have a lot of wackos out there...and I happened to mention that...without some variety the world would be boring...As a Joke.
I quickly lost interest in the nice looking guy when he smugly replied, "I would rather be boring than be a mental case. By the Way, what do you do?"
With a sly expression on my face I smiled and told him, "I am professional mental case," I said it loud and proud," I am ADHD and Bipolar."
I have to laugh when I think of him and what he did next, He stepped back and had this "YIKES!" Look on his face. "Man, I had a Bipolar room mate and married seven years to a Bipolar/ADHD woman."
"Well, Yes" I replied with a smile,"We can be a handful and lots of fun ain't we?"
"Sheesh, seven years was long enough dealing with YOU PEOPLE."
"You people?" There are so many of us, Have we become our own Minority? I does feel like it sometimes when I hear ignorant comments like that.
I could have said, "Well I have put up with Your Type of people my whole life and your perception of us "wackos"....Makes us more intellegent than you."
But then I said to myself that it just seamed to be sinking to his level....When It all comes down to it....We are still human beings.
But if they have to seperate into such labels....when You look at the difference...I feel more proud to be who I am and would not trade who I am to be like them!!!!!
