just wondering if anyone else out there is taking this combination?

My dr prescribed it for me today as my migraines are back with a vengance...

I do take a plethora of other meds:

Propranolol (for migraine, been on it for over 18 years)
Ambien (chronic insomnia)
Melatonin (help w/sleep)

... hoping it helps the headaches, it also did a good job of elevating my mood (I do not like taking SSRI's).

Thanks for any input!! :)

I have been on both these drugs in the past, lamictal was great but topomax was one of the most evil drugs I've ever tried.

I would suggest you tool up on what to potentially expect from the topomax and I cannot recommend highly enough that you get the sprinkles formulation and not the tablets. The tablets seem to affect more people negatively.

I find lamictal has mildly positive benefits for mood.
Good luck with the topomax and I hope it does what it's supposed to.
