View Full Version : Operation Get Tommy Wilhelm a Kitty - Cat

... to take care of in a responsible fashion of course.

My doctor asked me what I thought of IR Ritalin and Concerta and I explained that I felt locked into a train of thought that I'd otherwise find boring. I didn't like that I couldn't easily shift to thinking about more interesting or even useful-to-me topics, and that it was weird that I was now eager to finish any chore or task that I began. All of this effortless productivity really cut into my... stuff that usually fills up my time... like daydreaming I suppose.

My doctor laughed and explained that I was more or less experiencing life as an unaffected person now, and recoiling.

Well yesterday was my second day of a bigger dose of Concerta and I think Tommy Wilhelm's spider hatchlings under the bed problem crossed my mind right as my morning dose kicked in: the conviction that he really ought to have a kitty cat intruded on my thoughts, each time plowing inroads of passionate certainy!

I haven't checked with Tommy to fnd out if he is allergic or if his apartment management permits pets or if he has the time to devote or if he even likes cats but no matter! Feelings are facts! Tommy Wilhelm needs a kitty cat!

So yeah, I haven't asked Tommy what exact spiders are constantly hatching right under his very bed - or even on any part of his bed possibly (eep!) - and I don't have enough information to know if a. Tommy's spider infestation is of the poisonous type or b. I / we could together totally confirm what species or c. any kitty he adopts would even like the taste and texture of spiders assuming that they aren't neurotoxic or like hallucinogenic or something.

There is a certain logic in your kitty idea Mignon. True Tommy might have to have some imput into the decision but other than that it makes total sense!!

I hate you for this hideous picture.
Poisonous spiders? Unlikely. Highly unlikely. This is Vancouver.
You can train a kitty to eat just about anything, can't you?

I love that pic of the kitty flying thru the meadow w all four off the ground. When I look at that pic 1 word comes to mind...FREEDOM!
That looks like a brown recluse/wolf spider.

Huh? I'm confused! I'm in favor of this kitty, as you can train kitties to eat just about anything, and if the spiders aren't poisonous, there's no danger to the kitty. Also, pictures of nasty spiders having hundreds of babies are hideous!

Cats are freaking brave for eating spiders! And other hideous bugs. My cat once ate one of these alive. scary picture alert (http://www.crabstreetjournal.com/xoops/images/articles/centipede.jpg) I'm so glad she didn't get stung.

Agreed. I'm thinking this is a wolf spider though, it seems consistent with the couple I've seen here. Cool looking spider if I might say so myself. Not as cool as the tarantula though, love those little spiders. Seen only a couple of those, still want to get one as a pet but the wifey is very against that. More worried about it getting out and mistaking a venomous one for a nonvenomous one.

Spiders are cool, but I think if I was going for a cat to take care of that I'd go with this....

Hi everyone! Coincidentally, I've been cat and dog sitting, where I've had a chance to hang around with my ex cat, who used to eat spiders before he discovered sleeping and staring into space; I've just come home to check phone messages etc. I'm not allowed any pets where I'm staying, or I'd think about getting a cat, or at least having the old cat over some of the time.

Thanks for the ...campaign. Those spider pictures are truly disgusting. For now I think I'm spider free without the help of cats. Not a bad idea though, getting a cat.

Well, better go; the dog I'm supposed to be sitting doesn't always wake up when he needs to go outside.

I know LaVie well enough to say that she wasn't being snarky or mean. I *think* she was kind heartedly teasing you that you might have a certain unaddressed hole in your life. A hole that is shaped like a poofy kitty cat!

I know spiders are people, but they're so gross. If there were some parallel universe, where everything is just as it is here, except there were no spiders, dog **** shot needles at you when you walked past it, and slugs were the size of racoons and everyone had to get up early to chase them off their cars, the residents of this other universe would so not change places with us and have spiders; they wouldn't even consider it.

Slugs the size of raccoons? Thanks for providing me with a great story idea!

Also, that reminds me of a funny moment while out walking through Stanley Park with my buddy J. We came across a raccoon fumbling around with something in its hands.

Me: "Looks like that raccoon's found something."
J: "Cool! I really love watching animals out in the wild."
Me: "Dude, this is a parking lot."

I dont think gorillas are vicious animals I think they are like people and have a gentle an mild preposition unless provoked.I think when they found jane goodall dead, they had said prior to finding her, they tracked or saw the gorillas and the silverbacks were going wild, and freaking and screaming at top of there lungs. They knew the person who cared about them had been murdered Id believe or saw it themselves.
I got a nice tuna sammich for that beautiful lynx kitty metzfan:)here kitty kitty, nice kitty now dont scratch or bite now:)I love the markings and blue eyes of that cat metz:D
