The ADD Forums is happy to announce the introduction of awards, soon to be awarded to members of the forums recognized for their outstanding contributions and participation!
The awards are:

The Major Contributor Ribbon
This rare award is given to members that contribute to The Forums in participation, mentoring new members, assisting with forum policy, providing new resources of use at the Forums and sharing knowledge in the forums.

The Ribbon of Knowledge
This prestigious award goes to members which consistently provide assistance to other members with their knowledge in a subject on the forums.

The Ribbon of Chat
The Ribbon of Chat is presented to those that consistently participate in the Forum Chat Room.
Moderators and Admins will nominate and select which members have acheived such a level of participation in the Forums to receive such prestigious recognition. You'll start seeing these awards begin to appear in the header of people's posts.

Local Forum Guides
You may have been wondering about the COMPASS that has begun to appear in some people's posts. The compass signifies that an individual has volunteered to be a Local Forum Guide for a particular Country, State or Region of the world. Any active member can volunteer to become a Local Forum Guide. They will be asked to help others find local ADHD resources within their respective communities, post relevant event announcements, and generally make new members of those local forums feel welcome!
Hint: To determine which location a Local Forum Guide is assisting with, place your mouse pointer over that person's compass.

A person's ability to generate new ideas or to conceive of new perspectives on existing ideas. The ability to think and approach a problem in an original or flexible way. Also included in this category would be outstanding contributions to creative endeavors (Creative Writing, Photography, Journaling, Recipes, Avatars)

Friend of the Forums Award
This ribbon is awarded to those that selflessly give of themselves for the benefit of the ADD Forums. Those awarded this honor have silently worked, often behind the scenes, to ensure that the ADD Forums runs effectively and efficiently.
