Interesting. I'm definitely not a Narcissist.
But I do have Asperger's and have all the social difficulties.

I can't listen to the whole thing right now - but wondered at his insistence in the beginning about not calling it Asperger's Syndrome, but Asperger's Disorder?

I think he's a bit absolute in his statements as to behaviors, but I believe generally accurate.

I think cluster B misdiagnoses of people with AS are probably higher than with the general population, especially given the tendency for non-autistic people to be bad at reading people who are on the spectrum, and the superficial similarity some behaviors, coping mechanisms, etc. may have to cluster B traits. Laura Paxton - author of Borderline and Beyond, Revisited - says that many women with ADHD and sensory integration disorder are misdiagnosed with BPD.

I don't really know much about Sam Vaknin (although I've read some of the material from Malignant Self-Love) and how or whether people treat him as a fraud.

I know that one person here got a bit agitated when I linked the material on narcissistic supply.

Incidentally, I believe this is the same thing he says in the video, but in text form: http://samvak.tripod.com/journal72.html - so if listening to it is a problem, there's an alternative.

Thank you. The video is apparently much shorter than I realized, the printed article wasn't very long. At this time of day there are too many other competing noises for me to be able to single out just one voice to attend to.

By coincidence, I had read it yesterday.
