Walking With My Sistah

I walked along side my sistah who was in a fix you see
I Listened to her dilemma as she shared it with me
And the burden that she was bearing touched my heart
It was hard to bear like a heavy laden cart
It weighed her down and dulled her smile
It made her linger in thoughts not worthwhile
And my privilege was to come along side
Offer her encouragement, be her guide
For once I bore a burden like this in another time and place
I was weighed down and slowed in my pace
a friend true and dear stood with me then
And helped me bear my burden and live again
And now it is my turn to do the same for my sistah dear
And bring hope, love and some cheer
I gently spoke to her and. Meet her in her sadness
Hoping that her tears will soon change to gladness.
I walked beside her through this rough spot with prayer
And loved my sistah and remind her of one who always cares
