Pets teach us what good really is.

When I meet people who own pets that they love, they have a deeper appreciation for life because they understand how important the little things can be.

But to love the little things we have to learn how to let go of the bigger things in life. Our pets become so much a part of ourselves and what we love that they become the bigger part of our life. It's hard to let go. But letting go is important too.

You have to learn to love the small things in your life again because that's what gives everything else meaning.

Death is like the silence between the notes in music, it's only because of silence that we have music.

But don't give up so early that the music stops.

Ever considered grief counseling? Don't just go to any shrink but a therapist who specializes in grief and bereavement, seems you need someone to help you through this, going through the stages of grief can take years, always remember that and you might need some assistance to help you through the process.

These anniversaries are so hard. Can you plant a small bush in Ebony's memory,
something to care for and tend to the way you would been tending her?

Our Mr. Kiko is fighting heart disease and we know we won't have him with us
much longer, which somehow makes us remember our other fur babies that we
have lost. Basset hound Buck. Guinea pig Pebbles. Guinea pig Reeces. :(

I got two things in the house to remember her by, one's a little memorial thing, the other one is her photo on the wall :(
